inexpensive crossbar system
I bought 4 sets of these and create a 20' crossbar when needed. You should tape the joints to keep them from coming undone, but once that is done these are the best value for the money Adorama has at the moment

it's a pole
it connects to other poles to extend. you either need it or you don't

4 Section Background Crossbar
For cloth backgrounds.
VERY small for transport.
What is not so great, if the location is shorter then 9'10" wide you cant use it.
You can use it at (about) 8' or 6'.
