Kyle D : Is this cable 12G rated?Nathan W : I don't believe they state what rating this cable is. However, I am using it on a Blackmagic micro studio camera 4k. It works great on that cam with no issues sending 4k video. I connect this to an 80 foot SDI to send 4k video. I doubt you will have issues sending 4k over this unless you are using 4k raw an uncompressed video, but I couldn't tell you for sure. I do have one COMPLAINT. The mini side is a compression fitting so you have to slide it back for it to open its teeth in order to get it off your camera. If you buy more than one of these you will receive one that is defective and almost impossible to just pull of unless you pull out some pliers. I'd keep looking until you find a spring loaded mini bnc I think CAMVATE makes one and I don't think Adorama sells it....

Great for Video Assist

This is the cable you need for SDI video out or into the Blackmagic Video Assist. Works great. Too many cheap cables on-line have the wrong connector on the mini side. Just get this and save time and effort. I use this with my BMCC 2.5K and also can run video in from a Marshall POV camera with only SDI out and use the Video Assist to convert to HDMI and to record. Just a good cable for lots of uses if you have the Video Assist.

This is the cable you need for SDI video out or into the Blackmagic Video Assist. Works great. Too many cheap cables on-line have the wrong connector on the mini side. 7.9" cable with Din 1.0/2.3 connector on one end and a BNC male connector on the other end. This cable can be used to connect a device with a Din 1.0/2.3 connector to another device with a regular BNC cable.
