Great camera. Very professional. Has every connection that you will need. Would be nice if Blackmagic sent a list of accessories that you would/could need to use with this camera including Focus Demand, Zoom demand, MFT lenses, etc. Major gain adjustments needed in low light. I'm concerned on how grainy my video might look in low light conditions.

Positives: - Excellent integration with Black Magic Design?s ATEM switchers, for camera control, including color adjustment, focus and potentially zoom, if using a power zoom lens. - Everything you like about the quality of the BMPCC4k applies to this product too, but now you get all that in a live HDMI feed for streaming or recording. - Form factor perfectly suited for on-tripod work, in studio or event spaces. Negatives: - Initial colors straight out of camera are flat and desaturated, even if you use the factory-installed conversion to Rec. 709. Count on building your own LUTs, or using ATEM camera control for color adjustment. - One-shot focus sometimes slightly overshoots or undershoots its target, and needs manual adjustment to achieve desired sharpness. - The few power-zoom lenses you can buy for a native micro 4/3 mount are neither fast nor sharp. Count on grabbing the lens physically to adjust zoom, or use fixed-focus lenses. - No SDI support in this model.

This is a great little camera for the price. We purchased one, and loved it and had to buy a second one. We use it in a church setting. I guess the only issues I have will be its poor low light quality (be ready to pour lots of light on this one) and also not being able to manually white balance using the old fashion white cardboard. You can only set the color temperature and we sometimes have it not consistent with other cameras we own.

Ultra HD Blackmagic Studio Camera 4K
Internal battery has been removed, allowing for a lower retail price and easier shipping!
Based on user feedback, most customers doing live production use AC plug in power, so they have asked for a model without the battery. In addition to making the cameras more expensive, the large internal battery also made it difficult for customers to ship their cameras via air freight when they needed to take it on location for a shoot. With the battery now being removed from the camera, customers can ship them anywhere. The removal of the battery allows the cameras to be sold at these new lower prices.
The Blackmagic Studio Camera 4K is the live broadcast camera that's ready for multi camera Ultra HD production today. Featuring a massive 10" viewfinder, MFT lens mount, talkback, tally indicators, phantom powered microphone connections, 12G-SDI and user upgradeable optical fiber connections that let you connect to your switcher with a single cable! The advanced 4K model is switchable to 1080 HD, that means you can work in HD today and you're always ready for Ultra HD production.

Micro Four Thirds Lens Mount
Supports the worlds best broadcast lenses
The Blackmagic Studio Camera features an active Micro Four Thirds lens mount that is compatible with an incredibly wide range of lenses and adapters. You can use your existing photo lenses for smaller setups or fixed camera use or then bolt on incredible broadcast ENG lenses for large live broadcasts. Third party lens adapters let you connect to all kinds of lens mounts for any type of lens you choose and you can even add feature film PL mount lenses, allowing you to customize your camera to suit any size production!
Large 10" Full HD Viewfinder
See every pixel in amazing detail
The Blackmagic Studio Camera includes the worlds largest viewfinder built in! The massive 10" high resolution screen has a super wide viewing angle and the large viewing area lets you see amazing detail so you can frame, focus, change iris settings and make subtle adjustments, even when you're live on air.
Bi-Directional Optical Fiber
Get video, audio, talkback and tally over long distances
The Blackmagic Studio Camera includes a user upgradable fiber optic connection, allowing you to use a single thin tether cable to connect cameras to your live production switchers. The optical fiber connection is bi-directional and carries HD or Ultra HD video with embedded audio, talkback, tally and even camera remote control. And because it uses standard, low cost fiber optic cable, you can connect cameras over massive distances almost anywhere, even at the largest outdoor venues.
Built In Talkback
Use professional aviation headsets
The Blackmagic Studio Camera features built in talkback so the camera operator and crew can communicate at all times during production. You get general aviation headset connections so you can choose from a wide range of aviation headsets, so you get better quality talkback headsets with better noise canceling and a much lower cost. Setup is easy because talkback is embedded in the optical or SDI video connection to the camera, so you don't have to run separate talkback cables!
Illuminated Tally
Know when you're on air!
The Blackmagic Studio camera supports the tally SDI standard used on the ATEM range of live production switchers. This means the tally from the switcher is broadcast to all cameras from all video outputs of the ATEM switcher and it's sent to the Blackmagic Studio Camera via the program video connection. Tally lights illuminate automatically when your camera is live and will stay illuminated during multiple camera transitions. With a light on the front for talent and a light above the viewfinder for the operator, cast and crew can easily see which cameras are on air.
ATEM Talkback Converter 4K
Stay in touch with the entire crew over long distances!
The ATEM Talkback Converter 4K gives you talkback for up to 8 cameras so the entire crew can stay in touch and take direction during live productions. Featuring advanced 12G-SDI connections the talkback converter gives you full bi-directional video, talkback and tally signals over the SDI program return to your Blackmagic Studio Cameras. That means you don't need any extra cables to add talkback and tally to your production! The ATEM Talkback Converter 4K also has SFP cages for adding optional SMPTE optical fiber modules when you need to place your cameras far apart at larger venues. That means you can place your cameras up to 28 miles away from the switcher without any loss of signal quality!
Broadcast Grade Connections
Professional connections for 24/7 reliability
Featuring broadcast quality connections you get optional bi-directional optical fiber and SDI connections for connecting to live production switchers or recorders. Also included is a professional aviation headsets jack, stereo XLR microphone inputs and more. All connections are logically organized on the left and right sides of the camera, making them accessible and easy to use. Because the Blackmagic Studio Camera uses standard connectors, you don't need expensive custom cables!
Integrated Control Panel
Easy access buttons for the most important settings
Quickly and easily access the most important controls using the built in row of buttons below the viewfinder. You can adjust iris and focus control with the touch of a button, activate talkback or even see return video. Dedicated buttons let you switch between film and video modes, display safe area markers and turn on menu controls to change camera settings. The integrated push button control panel gives you complete camera control at the touch of a button!
Remote Camera Control

Now you can remote control your camera! The Blackmagic Studio Camera can be remotely controlled from your ATEM live production switcher via the SDI connections for more professional production. The Blackmagic Studio camera also has a full DaVinci Resolve primary
