Blackmagic Streaming Decoder 4K is a professional streaming decoder that lets you receive an H.264 or H.265 stream from Blackmagic Streaming Encoder, ATEM switcher or Blackmagic camera and convert it back to SDI and HDMI video. Includes Blackmagic Cloud streaming and 12G-SDI reference input that lets you connect SDI tally, camera control and talkback back to the encoder.

Create Point to Point Internet Based Broadcast Links
Blackmagic Streaming Encoder can also build internet broadcast links with the Blackmagic Streaming Decoder 4K! The Blackmagic Streaming Decoder 4K receives the H.264 or H.265 stream from the Blackmagic Streaming Encoder and converts it to SDI and HDMI video. This means you can send video point-to-point between remote locations. The Blackmagic Streaming Decoder also has a 12G-SDI "reference" input that lets you connect SDI tally, camera control plus talkback and send it back up to the encoder end. Imagine setting up a central control room with remote streaming from cameras with full tally, talkback and camera control on the remote cameras! Everyone is remote, but still working together!

Connect 5G or 4G Phones for Mobile Data
Connect to the internet using your phone's mobile data for maximum flexibility when streaming from a remote location or as a backup for your primary Ethernet connection! For convenience, both the front and rear panels feature USB-C connections that can be used for phone tethering. Plus it works with the latest high speed 5G phones, as well as 4G phones! If the internet fails, Blackmagic Streaming Encoder will automatically switch its internet connection to use a connected phone. You can also choose to prioritize either the Ethernet connection or the phone connection. Blackmagic Streaming Encoder is the perfect remote location streaming solution, using phone tethering and mobile data!

Includes Blackmagic Streaming Utility
The Blackmagic Streaming Utility software manages multiple streaming encoders and decoders so you can update settings and software. Simply plug the Blackmagic Streaming Encoder directly into the front of its USB connection, or connect it using Ethernet so you can configure it remotely, which is useful when managing multiple remote sites. The user-friendly menus and controls make it incredibly simple to set up a live event, so you can get started fast! Plus the front panel LCD menus have the same settings and controls! You can even load additional services for a Blackmagic Streaming Decoder. The Blackmagic Streaming Utility software is free to download and runs on both Mac and Windows.

Control and Color Balance Remote Cameras!
Most Blackmagic Design cameras support camera control, talkback and tally from an ATEM switcher via an SDI control protocol. Control is for all cameras and is embedded into the ATEM SDI outputs, and then you select the specific camera number on the camera. Imagine changing ISO, tint, iris, focus, zoom with tally and talkback all remotely! This also works for cameras with built-in streaming. To do this, you connect the Blackmagic Streaming Decoder's REF input to the ATEM switcher's SDI output. You can also use the Blackmagic Streaming Encoder for cameras without streaming. Control is embedded into the SDI monitoring output of the Streaming Encoder, to connect to the Blackmagic camera's SDI input.

Compact 1/3rd Rack Mount Design
Both the Blackmagic Streaming Encoder and Blackmagic Streaming Decoder use the modular Teranex Mini design allowing rack mounting. It has a built-in AC power supply and a 4-pin 12V DC connection for backup or battery operation. The ultra-portable design is only 5.5 inches wide, allowing you to mount three in a single rack unit for simultaneous streaming to multiple independent services. That means you can combine Blackmagic Streaming Encoder with an ATEM 1 M/E Constellation switcher for a live production and streaming solution in a single rack unit! Plus the front panel features a USB connection, allowing you to walk up and connect a computer for quick local setting changes.

Serious broadcasters love redundancy because it increases reliability. Blackmagic Streaming Encoder offers redundant features to guarantee your on-air connectivity. You can connect to the internet using either the built-in Ethernet connection or a tethered phone for 5G or 4G mobile data. The internet automatically switches to a backup connection in case of an outage! The unit is compact and inexpensive, making it easy to use two separate units to stream content to both the primary and secondary YouTube servers. With both AC and DC inputs, you can even use a battery for redundant power. There are even front panel buttons and menus, plus the Blackmagic Streaming Utility software for control.
