Blackmagic Camera ProDock works with the Blackmagic Camera app to add support for external timecode, genlock, audio, SSD recording and more, transforming iPhone even further into a powerful production tool that fits seamlessly into high-end studio and on-set environments.

Blackmagic Camera ProDock enables additional production flexibility with iPhone with all the connections users need to build a custom rig. It also supports the high end features for Blackmagic Camera app for iPhone like ProRes RAW and genlock. Customers get connections for HDMI monitoring, microphones, headphones, genlock, USB C for external disks and power. Blackmagic Camera ProDock makes it easy for customers to connect their iPhone to industry standard equipment such as timecode generators, lens control accessories and more!

With professional BNC connections, Blackmagic Camera ProDock brings external genlock and timecode to iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max, making it possible to keep all devices in perfect sync. Genlock ensures that every frame of video is captured in sync with other sources, such as cameras and switchers, preventing issues like dropped frames. It also lets customers shoot LED walls without distracting flickering or tearing, which is important for virtual production. When customers are shooting with multiple cameras, timecode allows each camera to start and stop recording independently. DaVinci Resolve then uses the recorded timecode to sync the shots from all cameras so filmmakers don't need to waste time sorting and manually aligning thousands of shots.

Blackmagic Camera ProDock is designed to accommodate a wide range of accessories, from audio recording to external storage and remote controls. It features 3 USB-C ports for lens and camera control accessories, and high speed external SSDs for recording. The power management system ensures everything can run at the same time, while powering iPhone. There are 3.5mm connections for microphones and headphones, and a full size HDMI output for on-set monitoring.
