Review Summary

Great camera. No one else offers this set of characteristics for its price. Almost 90% resolutions without sensor cropping! Spectacular color science. Think of pair this camera with a good lens also. The possibility of SSD recording is outstanding. Although Q0 and Q1 may fall short in data transfer. I'm just a hobbyist, but with this price drop, I didn't hesitate to get my dream camera. The workflow with BRAW and Davinci resolve is fantastic; almost any modern configuration can run this codec flawlessly. In conclusion, if you can afford it, don't hesitate and go for it!

Having built in ND and IR filters is a gigantic step up from BMD's earlier cameras. Happy to be down two filters whenever I film. Cannot be beat for the price point. Feature-rich, sturdy, 240 fps. It's nice to not have to spend the same amount kitting out a cheaper camera.

I had problems with them when sending me the camera, not sending the power cord, !! sent to the address of my billing address when ordering the address I had to be sent to, it was definitely the first and last purchase with the adora

I have only had it for a few weeks and thrilled so far ? my only issue maybe the lack of a ND control filtering .. like their other cams - but we will see

Must use approved media to reduce number of dropped frames. Otherwise it's an excellent cinema camera. BRAW is an amazing codec.

Only had this camera for a couple of weeks, and while I still have some gripes about button placement and ergonomics, the image quality is superb and slow motion capabilities really stand out. Excited to really put the Ursa to the test and see if any pitfalls or quirks emerge.

A great versatile camera. High quality image and color science. 4K 120. You know Blackmagic didn't want to compromise image quality when they offer ProRes codec in camera. I've used Red cameras for the last 6 years and this camera is doing more for me. Having built in NDs, XLR, timecode in, all while not loosing image quality and high frame rates is amazing for this price.

This camera is amazing and a nice step up from my original BM Ursa Mini 4.6K. Sadly, I’ve already had to send it in for service, as there were a couple of issues: First, there was no output from the main SDI port (side SDI worked fine). Second, the camera randomly powered down and stayed powered down when switching between record and playback modes. Neither issue affected my ability to record; it’s just disappointing that Blackmagic would ship a camera that has defects without doing the proper quality control.
