Great Product but may need finesse in getting it to capture sound.

Excellent product. I would have given a 5 but I had windows 10 issues, I at first got video and no sound. After a couple of hours I disovered that I had to plug in an input mic that I had no intention of using and that tricked windows into giving me sound captured as well as video.

Never worked for me.

After 3 weeks and many attempts, I still have not been able to get the thing to work. Maybe its made to only be used by a Technical Guru. Not happy at all.

Shuttle works as advertised

Pretty good unit. I called black magic tech 3 times to be sure before and after use and my knowledge of unit Tech support good. It was dropping frames and quit and tech helped me with settings. It would be good to have ability for 2 input feeds. Decent unit

Good for digital sources. Needs additional hardware for VHS.

Works well for digitally sourced signals. DVD over composite works fine, with only a few dropped frames. Vhs, however, was a disaster. So many frames were dropped that the audio got so far out of sync as to be totally unusable. I had to add a time base corrector at an additional $ to get a usable capture from VHS tapes.

Does what it says

Needed to encode some VHS tapes. It did the job. I'm taking a star away since I wasn't a big fan of the documentation. It takes some fiddling around to figure out the interface. Overall, it is a great value.

An awesome little device that should be in every videographer's tool box.

Great device for capturing video from multiple formats. Very compact and light weight. It is very stable and a work horse that gets the job. Very reliable and reasonably priced.
