Shopper : Is the white background truly white or does the black shine through?COLLEEN M : If you look very close to it yes you can see some black coming through the white. I will use the white on some photos but mostly use the black side. It's big and nice for what I need.KYLE C : The black shows through slightly. At a distance it doesnt seem to show, but up close it can look slightly grainy. I use it for a product background, and am able to isolate the item and wash out the background with photoshop, easily. But the black does show through the weave of the white material a little bit.

EmileJEFF S : there are youtube videos...gotta see it to really get it :)KENNY G : Google it and videos will be available from Adorama, and <a href="http://others...they" target="_blank">others...they</a> show step by step and I always go back & watch for technique....EMILE A : Thanks I found the same videos helpfulKENNETH W : First you bring both sides up to form a taco shell. Cross one side over the other. It should start to fold into itself. If not, keep pulling the one side over more, twist the side you folded over toward you a little bit more toward you, twist the other side toward you as well, and it should start folding into itself. I googled "how to fold a folding background" and there are several videos that show how to do it. Check several different videos to find the one you like and can understand the best. Keep practicing and it gets easier each time.JOHN S : I had the same problem. I searched on Youtube and found several videos that show you how to fold them up. Once you get the hang of it, it becomes very simple.AURELIJA A : I learned to fold it back into circle from YouTube tutorial videos, after watching couple of those, it's very easy to do.FRED H : Emile, there are many videos on line showing how easy it is to fold these backgrounds. Try googling "folding lastolite backgrounds". Good luck! FredCARLA B : I actually bought this as a gift for someone so I really don't know how they fold it up. If I remember correctly it was not easy to do. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.CHRISTOPHER M : I takes a little practice take a corner and put it against your chest. Extend your arms along the edge, grab the edges and bring them towards the center. It should naturally go into the right shape. I suggest going to you tube, there are several videos on how to fold the hilite background, the technique is the same, hope this helps JOHN L : Nothing to it. Simply grab one corner on the long side and drag it to the opposite corner. Very simple after you've done it a time or two.

Product isnt too bad, but there are a couple of issues with it.

First and the biggest issue is that its only 6' tall by about 5' wide. I built a PVC pipe frame to clamp this to that is 7' tall ( it will be used with other backdrops but specifically this one ) I had to remove one of the sections because the frame was too tall for the backdrop. Not a HUGE issue but if I purchase something that is 7' tall, I expect a product that is 7' tall. Second, its a very thin material and light shows through very easily. I used mine outside today and had a lot of light bleed through, it didnt necessarily mess up my shots but for someone else it could be a problem. It folded up easily and went back into the bag. Other than that, it performed up to expectations. Obviously, the material wont be a problem inside because there wont be light behind it unless I put it there. The missing 1' of height? Well that is something that cant be fixed.

Love Botero Colapsibles!

Ever since I bought my first Botero collapsible, (I have a multi color and the reversible black and white), whenever I have a shoot of any kind bring them along. You never know who will need a head shot! They are so light and easy to carry and "unfurl"! I will be buying another, extra length floor capability. Thank you botero!

Excellent Quality

I purchased the Botero because the cheaper competitors received a number of troubling reviews. I am very satisfied with this product. The overall quality is excellent. I really appreciate it's light weight and solid feel. It has shaved 15 minutes off of my setup and tear down time for on site head shots. I have no complaints.
