Doesn't work with xbox

I bought this cable to use with my xbox. I had one before and it stopped working so I looked to buy this one from Bose. I just received the cable and tried to use it with my xbox and there is sound, but I cannot chat through the mic. I believe that the reason is because it is for apple? I had one that looked identical before that had no problem though. I was unaware that this cable was only for apple products. That was unclear.

Replacement for AE2

A nice updgrade from the Mic-less AE2 wire. Kind of glad my orignal one broke!
