Bought a new ear covers for headset that was wrong size. Contacted customer services and they exchanged for correct ones right away

Great customer service

Had I known they were so difficult to install I never would have bought the headphones. Nor did I know the original ones would deteriorate so fast like they did.

Very difficult to install

Second time buying these ear cushions. They fit good. They will eventually wear out again. But in the mean time my SoundLink on ear headphones sound and fit like I just bought them.

Nice

This purchase has been extremely disappointing. We have tried multiple times to affix the new ear cushions to the head set but have not been able to do so.. Others have tried to do so but were not able to get them to fit. We studied the You Tube video but that did not help. I have searched for Bose stores in this area to try to help us but have not found any. This purchase is a waste of money.

Unable to Fit

Cushions were ill fitting, impossible to install and therefore unusable!

I was never able to get the ear pads on the headphones. I was able to purchase from a 3rd party and they went on much easier and fit perfectly.

Did not fit

They suck! I can not get them to stretch on to the head set. The plastic ring is too stiff to slide over the headset frame. The old plastic ring from the old pads are removed.

Not such a good fit.

Purchased and I am unable to put them on. Took to Geek Squad they said they can't either. Took to a Bose store they said they don't work on headphones

Great sound

This was absolutely impossible to put on the headphones. I had to return it and buy off-brand cushions which were actually possible to install. It's beyond comprehension how Bose could design such a bad cushion replacement and that an off-brand company can make it much better.

i bought these to replace my worn out ear cushions. i have a reasonable amount of skills but i can't get them mounted. Very Frustrated. I will trying. It appears that i will have to make an apparatus to hold them in place while i complete the install.

Too difficult to install.

Not happy that the instructions are not clear on how to attach to earpieces. The plastic will NOT stretch enough.

Earpads will not attach.

These are very nice but due to the small size my
my old fingers cannot get them onto the phones. I 've tried repeatedly but can't attach them. Going to have to go to a repair shop and see if they can put them on. Frustrating.

The quality of the product was not good. Also it was not easy to replace it on my bose headphone. I returned it!!

Cheap quality

I love these headphones. The sound is outstanding especially considering they don't cover your ear completely. However, the ear pads fall apart after a few months of daily use. I can't justify paying $25 for new pads when I know they're not going to last very long.

Love the sound quality, ear cushions deteriorate.

I bought these about a year or so ago and only use them when travelling but the headphone pads have come away. Really disappointing given the great sound quality.

Fantastic Headphones but POOR pads

These are great headphones. Only problem has been having to replace the ear cushions. I have done that twice. I will replace them again if I have to. The sound quality is very good. I have had them sine 2015

Nice earphones, but the pads are garbage. I am about to order my third pair of pads that have a short shelf life before they peel apart. Not good at all.

Buying them again and again and again.

I’ve had these headphones for a while now and love the sound. The ear pads are the worst. You would think that spending that kind of money the pads would last a lot longer. Please make something better for them

These headphones have magnificent sound, reliable Bluetooth electronics and decent battery life. I rate the phones very easily as solid 5 stars. But after over a year of using them only at home and not out in the world, the ear cushions have failed. I think of the old, mid-level phones from the 70's and 80's that still have their original cushions, and I just can't believe that Bose skimped on this critical part of these beautiful headphones. They vary easily rate a 1 star, bringing the overall rating to a 3-- which honestly doesn't show these phones as they truly are, because the sound quality ROCKS! 

I have always respected the Bose name, and when visiting friends or going to parties where the hosts were playing music through any kind of Bose speakers, I was always blown away by the sheer clarity and presence of their sound. When it came time for a pair of Bluetooth headphones, I had made up my mind that I would get Bose, but-- because of my OCD-- I had to compare models from other companies, too. Bose won, hands down. And now, after lightly and lovingly using these headphones, both cushions have split halfway off-- yet they still sound as good as day one. 

I am very upset that I now have to buy these replacement ear cushions (which sound really fun to install), and then continue to replace them every year and a half, maybe. After buying a few replacement sets of cushions I could have just bought a refurb set of headphones! 

I am also upset and confused that Bose only seems to respond or comment to a very select few of these reviewers, leaving the rest to just feel left out or used. Money is tight these days, and the future is uncertain. As consumers we hold massive power over the manufacturers because we can choose where to spend our money. When making a purchase of and item that I intend to sue for a while (like tools, office electronics or audio/video equipment), I prefer to pay a bit more and get something with some quality behind it. That's why I chose Bose, and that's also why I will have to seriously reconsider purchasing their products in the future. Bose, be the Best!

LOVE the sound, HATE the ear cushions!!!

I bought these and had to replace after 2 months because the ear cushions were falling apart ... needless to say I keep both sets of headphones in the case at all times and only use them when I travel yet again the ear cushions are falling apart and detaching from the base ... very disappointed since this is my second pair and I bought a soundlink that is inconsistent with powering up... quite a bit of money spent for products I can’t use .

Ear cushions fall apart

Gave this as a wedding gift to my wife. She rarely uses them because of the emotional value. Last week I thought of bringing these out and using them for a couple of days. Also, wanted to give some rest to my daily use headphone - Bose SoundLink® around-ear wireless headphones II. In a week's time, the cushions came off like a modular unit. This is also the 1st bose product I purchased. Got a lot of memories attached to this one. Dont know how to tell her that i broke it. :(

Does great comfort comes with poor build quility

Just after a year of purchase I had to replace ear cushions for my SoundLink on-ear BT headphones. It is the second year of usage, showing signs of wear and tear. Totally disappointed with the quality of ear cushions. BTW, my usage of the headphone is very minimum.

Sound quality is excellent but not the cushions

Can't agree more, I'm disappointed about the durability of ear phone pads.
Expensive and pad quality material is really poor. 
Sound is excellent but durability of pads is 1 star, Bose should offer replacements at reduced price.

Disapionting Pad Quality

I got this from one of my friend as gift and used for a month or so.. and kept it in Bose case and never used after that.. I opened it recently and see black small pieces coming off from ear cushion and in 1-2 days the actual ear cushions came off from ear phone.. and unable to stay on them now.. Ear cushions are very poor but the sound quality is great.. Really disappointed with this product. Never expected this from Bose as i was always been fan of Bose and its products...

Sound Quality is Great But Ear Cushion very Poor

Bose ever since i was in High School (I'm 50), my goal had been to own anything Bose, BEST in music sound OMG, the best. Years ago I bought earphones amazing still have them. The sound on these SoundLink on-ear I love, the cushion is like a cloud, NOTHING compares. But come on bro, you've been at this for decades, never in a million would I think that ear cushions at this clabre would rip so easily. I am grateful that an ear cushion kit is even an option, because without cushions, I mean what would the options be, but the landfill. I bought 2 replacements so I'm prepared for next time. I just hope they dont rip as I attempt to replace.

Great Headphones terrible ear cushions. My ear cushions have completely disintegrated and I can't use the headphones anymore. Its sad that a company like BOSE makes headphone accessories like this.
