I was doing a lot of research as I didn't want to buy another system that failed to deliver great sound like I did a year ago. I knew I couldn't have large towering speakers all around and we love our Bose headphones when we travel. I took a trip to visit a Bose showroom to hear this and their other systems to see if they met my criteria. Small but with great sound, multiple HDMI inputs, ability to play music from my phone/Pad etc. The sales person demonstrated the unit and listened to everything I wanted. He even let me connect via bluetooth with my phone so I could hear my music. The sound was incredible for such tiny speakers - I was sold. Then he told me that if I took it home and it didn't;t sound as good or better after I set it up, that I could return it. A home trail. After initial setup at home we played a movie and experienced complete surround sound that we never had before with our soundbar. I was a bit skeptical of the wireless back speakers but they work great. My wife kept telling me how fantastic the sound was and that she can understand the dialog now where before she struggled to understand it. It looks fantastic, has great capabilities, sounds incredible. Follow the instructions step by step and check for updates.

You'd expect a 7k product from a well known and respectable brand would last for years to come, but of course this is all just fake hype to rope you into buying a defective product. Once you install it, yes it works, but for how long? Just a little over 1 and a half years and then the bass module no longer works; status light doesn't turn on, absolutely no sound/vibrations coming from the bass module, and because the bass can't connect, the speakers also no longer plays any sound coming from the tv. All troubleshooting manuals physical or online do not help either. I am also not the only one with this problem. A quick google search and you can see many other people have this same problem. Never again will I buy a product from Bose!! I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT RECCOMMEND ANYONE BUYING THIS PRODUCT OR ANY OTHER BOSE PRODUCTS!!

Bought this product 4-5 months back. Installation is done by company’s service engineer. I am very shocked experience VERY POOR sound quality from “BOSE”. Local unbranded product is far better than Lifestyle 650. Total waste of Money.

As a previous Bose employee, I had waited for over 15 years to get one; I finally went ahead and got myself one! Boy o Boy.. what can I say? Bose is simply Bose ..! Unbeatable and simply superior!! It took around under of two hours to have it completely set and up and ready to go!

I purchase Jewel system the week it came out with additional sub (for a total of 2 subs in my system). The Set Up, Style and Sound are Excellent. This system shakes my entire penthouse (i have 18 foot ceilings) and people are amazed that such a massive sound and base comes from such a small system (no complaints there). The reason for 3 stars have to do with software, base controls and integrations. I owned best of the Bose products for over 20 years and this seems to be the curse of the brand. SOFTWARE - settings menu takes a long time to boot up and exits what ever that you're doing (why not have a pop up settings menu like every other platform). UI (user interface) is very dated (windows 98 feel) and confusing (not enough explanation about certain settings ex: CEC settings). There are no notifications for software updates or explanation on what's being updated. The SoundTouch interface (music player) is hideous and doesn't offer ANY customization (i usually turn off the TV because its ugly. BOSE, PLEASE add settings option to customize: layout (title and cover), wallpaper (HD images or live wallpaper that goes with the music like Equalization) otherwise its just boring and ugly. BASE CONTROLS - This seems like no brainer, but Bose loves to hide base controls, sometimes a knob on the base itself (older products) or hidden within the menu settings .The two most commonly used controls are Volume and Base. PLEASE figure this out, Base should be as accessible as volume. INTEGRATIONS - one. I am puzzled by this. In the age of Integrations BOSE has one: Alexa.?!?! Using BOSE with any other software, hardware or platform is impossible. Please take some notes from Sonos (as much as i hate to say this). The BOSE universal remote that comes with the system is a complete disaster: Bulky/Heavy, complicated options and docent really work. SoundTouch App is a waste of time and i usually use bluetooth to play music. In conclusion: BOSE is excellent in sound quality and product design (A+), but horrible at User Experience (F-).

It is a good system but not worth the cost. The remote does not work with my Samsung TV and the volume doesn’t not work well at all.

I purchased this for its compact size. Love the small speakers that sound outstanding. Also like the streaming functionality. I have run a CD player, Apple TV, Blueray player and cable box through the system. It would be nice if the Bose remote found run them all. Unfortunately this isn’t the case. After defining the remotes to the system, the Bose remote only has limited functionality of each one. Can’t even change the channel on the cable box. The result is I still need a pile of remotes. The biggest disappointment is with Soundtouch capability. I would like to add additional wireless speakers throughout the house. Now it appears that Bose is no longer making speakers that are Soundtouch compatable. They have moved on to new platforms such as Soundlink which are not backwards compatable. If you are looking for a whole house solution, look elsewhere.

I purchased this last August. The transient detail and bass response are something to behold. I have read some negative reviews and they are not accurate. The sound is full and clear. The bass units “Quiet Port” is just amazing. You never localize the sound when listening to music or movies. This system actually sounds better at home than it did in the store! Dialogue is clear and defined. I’m never struggling to hear what is being said in a movie. FYI, if a movies sound track is poorly engineered no system will correct that! I will always stay with Bose a Lifestyle systems if they keep the quality this good.

I have had this product for little over a year now. This system is a nightmare. Adapt IQ is terrible. I had to cover the headset with a pillow for it to deliver the sound I was expecting. I placed 2 pillow for the bass calibration. It doesn’t sound good out of the box just so you know. Once it is calibrated yes the sound is great but the mid range leaves much to be desired. Otherwise yes good system but to me this system is awful and this is why. Once the sound is calibrated with pillows, the system likes to turn itself off and on, In addition my lifestyle 650 likes to switch inputs on me. my Apple TV is impossible to use. It keeps switching to a sound touch version of my Apple TV. I hear it but can’t see the program. My Lifestyle 650 does allow me to play my PS4 with little disturbance. Thank you Bose for at least helping my K/D ratio on Destiny 2. I have spent a lot of money on Apple and Bose products. Honestly I feel there are better products out now. I was a very loyal customer but enough is enough. If you are looking to buy Bose please do your research. Right now their headsets (700 NC) are and bluetooth speakers are the only things going for them.

I’ve had consistent issues with sound quality. Whilst it’s fantastic when it works the sad fact is that it has inconsistent performance and frequently the sound drops from all but the bass speaker. Very annoying. Check the community blog and you’ll see many similar complaints.

I bought this product to replace a Bose Lifestyle 48 which I had enjoyed for 14 years but no longer worked and could not be repaired. I didn’t feel like researching the market for a new brand and I have always liked the non-obtrusive form factor of the Bose products. Although I understand that there are other systems that deliver better sound quality for less money, the 25% discount for returning my system resulted in an impulse buy. I received the product and set about installing it with an LG OLED B6, set-top box, Apple TV 4K and SONY ubp-x1100es. I appreciated the thought that went into the packaging and detailed instructions for settling it up - reminds me of Apple products. The installation went reasonably smoothly with the following caveats: 1. The software update hung and did not move onto the next step automatically. 2. One of the speaker connections was loose which resulted in the initial Adaptiq calibration failing. This was resolved by connecting the speaker to another channel. 3. At first I connected all of the components to the console via HDMI but as soon as I discovered that Chroma 4:4:4 could not be passed through the console I decided to connect all of the components directly to the TV and manage them through the LG TV interface and LG remote thereby rendering the BOSE remote superfluous. I connected the BOSE console to the TV through the ARC connection which seems to work fine. When all is said and done I am basically just using the BOSE LS 650 for sound generation. I don’t really detect a huge difference between this system and the LS 48 in terms of sound but I am only 1 week into ownership so we’ll see. Finally, I don’t normally write reviews but the reviews I have read have been helpful so I figured I would return the favor.

I am a sound recording engineer. Heard many pro audio system till date. What is look for in sound is sharp and crisp immersive sound. Every year I go to Bose store for a demo. Get the experience feel good for that time and forget it. In my opinion it was over priced for that audio quality. But here's the game changer product. Bose lifestyle 650. Which blew my mind, overwhelmed me to the core of my soul. And got a smile on my face. It makes me burn in envy that I can't afford it. Bose you did it very well. Keep innovating love Bose.

Bought this system last year as a birthday present along with several other Bose products, despite the level of features the setup is simple and not that long at all. The AdaptIQ system makes it a breeze. Sound quality is second to none with old favourites giving up new sounds all the time that we simply did not pick up with our previous system. High value investment but worth every penny.

Just upgraded from a LS535iii, this system sounded great in the demo, its clear that was a staged demo with perfectly tuned sample tracks. Get the system home and i thought there was something wrong, the sound is tinny and horirble. Major dissapointment.

Well i paid around 4000 dollars for this system about a year ago. A product that expensive is expected to last for a long long time. While the sound is just incredible, the build quality does not match the price. Just look at the pictures. This is what happened after a year and a half.

My Acoustimass module is about to back to Bose for it’s second repair, meaning the system will have been out of action for 6 weeks since purchase. If you need something that is reliable, look elsewhere.

This system is the clearest sounding Lifestyle system hands down. The new Bass Module with Quiet Port technology makes a huge difference on the crossover sound from the Center & Onmi Jewel satellite speakers over previous systems. The center channel gives amazing detail to dialogue and mid frequency. This system envelopes you with extremely high quality sound. This system has the best dialogue and detail from Bose to date.

I have heard bose systems for decades, and when I search for what can be used for movies and music, came across this system and pre ordered it. Waiting until it released for market sales. I have had it since then and truth be told. It's worth every penny. Even during a video of the kids singing and the music up to 75, the playback was pure clarity from a cell phone recording with no distortion. Amazing considered the volume of the system listening to iheart music and the subwoofer definitely ...

Looks: unreal Sounds: like it looks Actually thats not true, the sound it produces sounds like its coming from a speaker the size of a refrigerator. It was easy to setup and is easy to use with the high end remote control and the SoundTouch app. The build quality is very refined as expected by a high end system. I like bass and the sub hits into the subsonic sounds that you can't quite hear but you can feel. Very impressed
Perfection means everything. So Bose compromised on nothing.
Beauty's in the eye and ear of the beholder. So Bose designed the Lifestyle home entertainment system to be beautiful in every way. Acoustics. Aesthetics. Craftsmanship. Simplicity. Bring your entertainment to life with a powerful, wireless bass module, four compact satellite speakers including rear wireless surrounds a wider center channel speaker and a premium, glass-top control console. Love music? Then you'll love SoundTouch built in for Internet radio, music services like Spotify and Amazon Music, and your stored music collection. See and hear for yourself why this is the most uncompromising 5-speaker home theater system Bose has ever made.
Spotlight on speakers
Bose has a long history of creating big sound from small packages. With OmniJewel satellite speakers, they are rewriting that history with a new chapter on elegance. Each of these tiny speakers features a carefully milled aluminum housing with two acoustic enclosures for dual-opposing drivers. This is the key to creating their first omnidirectional speaker for true 360-degree sound and a more spacious home theater experience. It took a team of 30 people to perfect every last detail, ensuring the acoustics would work with the aesthetics. And the rear speakers? Wireless.
The center channel of the Lifestyle 650 system is wider than previous versions to match the sleekness of your TV. It's also packed with five precision speakers and coated in an anodized aluminum finish.
Thunderous bass. Wireless connectivity.
Of course you want that resounding bass performance for movies and music. But you don't want a monstrous piece of equipment to enable it. With its premium glass-top finish, the wireless Acoustimass module delivers on sound and style. A powerful driver and QuietPort technology combine for best-in-class performance for its size.
Statements in elegance, continued...
The polished glass curvature of the console has a singular style you can't ignore. But it's more than just good looks. The console houses all of your technological needs: Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity for wireless music streaming, 4K video compatibility, 6 HDMI inputs and more. And it's all controlled with a universal remote.
Less effort, more music
With the Lifestyle home entertainment system, Bose put a lot of thought into taking the thinking out. Sure, there's the premium home theater performance that you'll love for movies, TV and sports. But when it comes to enjoying your music, you can listen whichever way you want, without worrying about which technology is best. This system lets you play music directly from a phone or tablet using Bluetooth, or connect the system to your Wi-Fi network for instant in-home listening, without the need for your phone.
SoundTouch app
SoudTouch, a key benefit to this Lifestyle system, is made to grow with you. Once you have one SoundTouch system, you can add more at anytime. They all work together. So as you go room to room, your music goes along with you. The free SoundTouch app gives you greater control of your Lifestyle system - any SoundTouch product, actually - from a smartphone or tablet. Use it to browse music, and control that music throughout your home. Start streaming instantly, or use the app to personalize the presets to your favorite music and stations. You can also use the universal remote's SoundTouch LED to see what songs you're listening to, a nice feature when you switch directly from a movie to some music.
Engineered to keep it simple
Unify technology walks you through system setup with guided onscreen messages for foolproof connectivity to your sources. Worried how it will all sound in your room? Don't be. ADAPTiQ audio calibration fine-tunes the sound specifically to your room and the things in it. So when you hear it, you hear it at its absolute best. The rear speakers and bass module even connect wirelessly for easier placement.
