good for some close up work, but the light output is too weak for anything else.

it's only marginal

Good for the price, but still a bit weak.  Cheaply made materials [*].I've included a sample shot at ISO 200 1/200th F3.2, Objects are about 6 feet away from the 2 LED kit.As you can see it is fairly week if objects are in distance.If you do close up production work, these may prove to be useful additional light souce.
