I couldn’t sleep in the same room as my partner due to his snoring, and before we left on holiday I was super stressed about not being able to sleep next to him while O/S and being tired the whole trip. I was desperate, but was really doubtful the sleep buds would work as advertised. I actually bought in ear noise cancelling headphones first, because I just didn’t believe the hype. The headphones didn’t work at all so two days before the trip I caved and bought these. I was shocked at how well they work. I can’t hear my partner at all and I’ve been sleeping like a baby, next to him, ever since!! Honestly a life saver, or at least a relationship one. I will never let these out of my sight and will continue to buy any new releases! They’re expensive, but worth every cent for what they’ve delivered for me.

I can sleep again! I sleep the whole night through! My boyfriend snores louder than anyone I've ever been around. I was miserable and would make him come to bed after me so I could get a head start on sleep. And most nights he'd wake me up at some point. But it's a breeze now. No more tapping him to wake him up or finally blowing up and telling him to roll over. We can snuggle. Talk about a relationship saver! My only complaint is how moist my inner ears feel when I take them out, but still worth it.

I’ve bought 2 different ear buds. BOTH of them failed to charge the right war bud after a few months of usage. I bought the first pair and once the right quit charging, I bought another one, figuring maybe I had a defective set. Now the second one is having the same problem. More than $500 spent and only one of the earbuds will charge.

The audio loops noticeably, and the assumed noise masking is distracting. There is even weird background noises that don’t fit the soundscape. Several times I’ve had to take them out, wondering what that sound is - and it’s the recording.. To make sure, I’d turn up the sound, and yes - the background noise is there. Ex during songbird you can hear some metal sounding ‘dings’, a weird musical note - and with the short loop it’s impossible to ignore. On purpose to ‘mask’ or not I don’t know. You’d be better off buying normal buds & use an app like Rain.

I am a Flight Attendant and fly irregular hours. Getting a great nights sleep is as important as 'breathing'! I started using them about a year ago when my sleep was constantly being disrupted by housing development on my street. Saws, drills, music, concrete cutters - you name it, it was blasting outside my bedroom window every day. These earbuds have an App you download to your phone and using Bluetooth, you select any of the large number of 'soothing sounds' to cover up any unwanted noises. You fall asleep so much faster, you sleep more deeply and for longer, and wake up feeling a million dollars!!

Bought these almost a year ago and been pretty much satisfied. However, there's a small metal piece on the bud itself that connect to a magnet on the charging station which came off. This could have damaged my inner ear if it had fallen in my ear. I have been trying to contact Bose support for 2 weeks but they have not responded despite indicating they would respond within 72 hours. Please be aware that if you have problems with their product, you may be left in the dark

I bought these because my husband grinds his teeth while sleeping and it drives me crazy. Normal earplugs don't block out that sound nor does it block his snoring so I thought I'd give these a try. Even with the smallest size, there are some nights my ears hurt after having them in for average 4-5 hours. I wish the sound bank were bigger. I'm getting pretty tired of hearing rain without thunder. The other sounds don't block or distract from hubby's noise. I'd be much happier with earbuds that can play actual music. The left bud has trouble connecting to the charging station so I'm constantly at half power because the left disconnected after I put them away for the day. I think experimentation with a bigger range of timbres is required for this product to really be great. I use these every night but I also spend a lot of time thinking of ways these can be better suited for me.

Comfortable but that’s where it ends , I’m on the 3 set of these as had to keep returning for various reasons , faulty charger and not connecting to the charging case being the last reason, the app is limited and they don’t mask partners snoring but the fact they keep breaking is the reason I do not recommend them

The first problem I encountered was the battery problem, which I believe many users had encountered the same problem. After they changed a new one for me another issue occurred. The alarm doesn't work. Sometimes the right one would work, but most of the time both sides don't. It is very annoying to find so many problems in a product that is so high in price.

Before buying, I read a lot of reviews and the main complaint seemed to be that the right bud doesn’t charge properly (or at all). I assumed this was user error. Sadly not! It’s such a shame because these are very comfortable and - when they worked - were a great sleep aid. For such an expensive piece of kit, it’s a real shame that there seems to be this common issue. What gave me the confidence to give these a try was the 30-day money back guarantee, but beware: you can’t return these in store. You have to go through a cumbersome process of speaking to support to generate a label, finding a box to package everything up in, and then finding a UPS drop off point. It’s honestly not worth it and I’d recommend saving yourself the hassle until they come out with a properly functioning update.

I’ve had nothing but problems from the start. Battery is meant to last 16hrs, my left bud only charges 58% lasting 7hrs and the right bud disconnects after 2hrs. When working, these buds block noise & put me to sleep - but lack of charge is frustrating & disappointing.

I bought these last week despite all the negative reviews about their unreliability hoping that Bose would not produce and sell a product with such poor quality at such a high price. Unfortunately on the second day the left one stopped working after about a half an hour. Instructions required me to plug them back in the box and plugged the box into the wall in the middle of the night. This worked for about 10 minutes. I've tried them on five consecutive nights since and every single night they fail. Returning them for a refund and forever questioning quality from Bose.

My name is Jill and this is a REAL review. (I'm always scared reviews are not real haha). Anyways, I bought these about a month ago and thought they were AMAZING. They are pretty comfortable and well made (design wise). About three weeks into using this product, the right ear bud only charged to about 58%. I tried switching them and charging it on the other side of the case, but that did not help. I still used them at 58%, but then they would die while I was sleeping, causing me to WAKE UP (Which is what they are intended to prevent lol). I did the update and reset the charging case, but still having issues with charging to their full potential. I decided to call customer service and they offered to exchange them with a new one. After reading reviews, this seems to be a default in the product and will continue to happen until they have a recall and redesign them to fix the charging issues. I asked if I could have my MONEY BACK because they were super expensive for a Law Student to be using her financial aid on, for something that has died so quickly. They will be issuing a refund, which I think is GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICe. Once they fix this issue, I will be MORE than Happy to buy a new pair that is designed properly because as one of the other reviewers said, this product has a lot of POTENTIAL.

These are a great idea and work perfectly at first, but that is the problem. These buds have a massive battery issue. It generally starts with the left earbud discharging as you use it at twice the speed it should. Then when they charge up they won’t charge beyond a certain percentage (generally 56 or 58%) making them completely useless as they don’t hold enough charge for a nights sleep, followed by unable to do software updates as below the 60% threshold. This compounded by the company not admitting they have an issue, but merely keep offering replacements which have the same fault!

As with many others, after working well for a while one of the earbuds fails to charge above 58%. Lots of people have this issue. Bose have no solution other than to replace. Then you wait for your replacement to have the same issue.

My sleepbuds are wonderful. It took a bit to find the sound that worked best for me but once I did they became a Godsend. I can sometimes hear my husband snore if I am already awake, but I can focus on the sleepbud sound and easily fall asleep. He no longer wakes me up with his snoring. I took one star off because I do notice them when sleeping on my side, but I suspect that is my anatomy and not a fault of the sleepbuds. I think I have flat ears. All and all it took about 1 week to get used to them.

Not sure if I just got a "lemon" or what....my earbuds intermittently charge and it takes often 5-6 tries to connect. When they work they are fantastic. However, mine seem to not work more than they work. I've done all the troubleshooting....trust me.

I'm a long time Bose customer, so when I heard of Sleepbuds I jumped at the chance to buy a pair. I'd seen similar products on the market, and as a noise-sensitive sleeper that's tried everything, I was skeptical to buy a product from a company I didn't know or trust. Sleep help + Bose quality seemed like a no brainer! The actual experience was much different than expect. For the first few weeks, the Sleepbuds worked great! Then I noticed all sorts of little things that made me think this product was rushed to market without enough testing. 1. No matter what I do, what size ear cover, or what position the bud is in my ear, the left Sleepbud is abrasive and incredibly uncomfortable. I often wake with bleeding sores in my ear, and the Bose community pages are full of people with the same issue trying to hack the device. I've tried putting bandaids in my ear, medical tape, celluloid patches in my ear all to reduce the abrasion. Some of that works, some of that impacts how the device fits into my ear and decreases sound quality. Bottom line: I shouldn't have to "hack" a $250 product. 2. The pillow sound of death. Yes, the buds are low profile enough that you *could* sleep on your side, but the smooth surface of the bud creates a very distracting sound when it touched the pillow. For noise-sensitive sleepers, this makes zero sense. I feel Bose could have figured this out with just a little bit of user testing. So again, the community pages are filled with hacks. Painters tape etc. Again, I shouldn't have to "hack" a $250 product. 3. The charging dock. Again, the left ear bud is the culprit. After about a month (convenient given the 30-day money back guarantee [Bose-- you should really make that 60 days!]) of use my buds nightly, the left bud stopped charging to 100%. It charges to 58%. Always 58% for some reason. But even that is a lie, because the bud goes dead in the middle of the nigh, well before the 58% should exhaust. I called service, they asked me to reset the dock with a needle in a hole on the dock, and to redownload some software. Fair enough. But after 40 days, a product shouldn't require this. 4. The app. It's really glitchy, turns off in the middle of the night. When the alarm goes off, the app has often times turned off overnight, so you have to go find and open the app, wait for the bluetooth to reconnect and find your buds (impossible if the left bud has gone awol again), and THEN you can turn off the alarm. Easier to just put them back in the doc. This product has so much potential. SO much. The first 20 or so days were magical. I hope they release a second generation with all these issues fixed, because I see the same ones over and over and over again in all the forums. If these issues popped up w/i the 30 days, I would have asked for a refund and been done with it. But for me unfortunately, they all started after 30 days. Bose has offered a replacement of the device. I am hopeful that I just got a dud. I will update my review if that's the case. If you're considering buying, I would honestly say wait a year and let Bose get a second generation to market.

Wasn’t sure how these would work and where they are so expensive, I really wondered if they were worth a try. My husband snores every single night and I haven’t slept for years. Used to wear regular ear plugs only to get ear infections. So my o my other option was to bed hop at night to get some rest. Gave these a try since they had the money back guarantee in 30 days. WORTH EVERY PENNY!!! I can finally have a restful sleep and sleep beside my husband. For those of you in this situation with sleeping with someone who snores you won’t be sorry! There are great! Comfortable, and really do drown out the snoring!! Thanks Bose for giving me my sleep back!

There is a well-documented issue with the left and right earbuds being out of sync with each other when pairing to Android devices. This is an ongoing issue since the release of the product and it has NOT been fixed. Support was not able to help me. Pairing with someone else's iOS device had no issues with sync, but ... that doesn't help me if it's somebody else's phone, does it? The comfort is top tier, but these are unusable with the earbuds being out of sync from each other.

I've owned these for 6 months and was really hoping they'd make a difference in my ability to fall and stay asleep. That happens about 40% of the time. I have very small ears and even using the smallest wing they are uncomfortable, I've just had to get used to it. And I cannot sleep on my side in them, way too painful! So then I bought a $50 pillow with a hole in the center! Seriously! The other problem is they don't always stay charging in the case, I have to check and check again multiple times per day or be left with them charged at 58% before bed.

First, they always disconnect. Second, batteries will not keep a charge. I’ve only had them for a year, would expect more for the price. By Bose!!

I like the sleepbuds and they do help me sleep better but......They do not mask the snoring going on next to me and that’s the only reason I bought them. Also, like other reviewers said, one of the sleepbuds takes several nudges to get it to start charging in the case and sometimes when I check on them that one has stopped charging. As for the sounds you can download..... with a company like Bose you would think that the sound library would have more selections than only like 15. But at the end of the day I do find myself putting them in my ears and falling asleep to soothing sounds and that’s what they’re meant to do.

I'm on my second set of sleepbuds. I can't live without them as even the sound of a cricket will keep me awake all night, and my boyfriend snores. However, I'm noticing a pattern that after about 6 months, one ear bud won't charge completely, or the app fails to connect to them at all. It's frustrating for the amount that you pay for these suckers. However, Bose has a good warranty and I'll be sending them back

My husband worked night shift for over 20 years and now that he’s retired, sleeping with a snorer is an issue! We tried all kinds of products and nothing worked. I began sleeping in another room! I was apprehensive buying these- I don’t like things in my ears and they’re pricey. BUT, I know Bose makes great products so I purchased them. Lifesaver! I’ve had a great nights sleep ever since I started wearing them. I am a side sleeper and have no issues with these in my ears. They are comfortable and work perfectly with the app. Calming sound cancels the snoring out, and a sweet little tune wakes me up on time! Thank you Bose!

I bought this 3 days ago because I moved into a new apartment and the people above me are very inconsiderate. I now sleep very well and wake up super fresh. I’m going to buy the next edition as soon as they come out :D

When they do work they are very good! Unfortunately they are laced with problems such as they stop charging, one only charges up to 48 or 57 %, or they can’t be found by the phone.Try googling “Bose sleep buds problems” before you buy..

I got my 3rd and final pair about a week ago. Every pair has been faulty, the first pair worked fine for a couple of weeks, then all of a sudden my phone couldn't find them. I tried every solution. I got a new pair from Bose. The left ear bud wouldn't charge past 57%. I was already upset with Bose at that point but still needed the product so I used them like that for a couple of months. Then the magnet of the left bud just fell of the bud, that was the final straw for me. I asked for a 3rd pair (thinking maybe I was just very unlucky and would try them for one last time). The 3rd pair worked fine for one night. Just one night. Then the left bud would just disconnect after being used for 5 minutes. Again I tried every solution, every tip in every forum. Now I'm getting my money back and will never buy a Bose product again. I'm thinking of also pressing charges against them, here in Sweden, because they are selling a product that isn't tested enough, and while there are countless of reports of the same issues, they are doing nothing about it. Try googling "Bose sleep buds problems" before you buy..

I bought this over a year ago, and the product has a lot of faults. Many time, the connection is not consistent because of which the music stops between my sleep. Now, it's been 2 weeks that my plugins won't connect to my phone and rhe customer service has been dismal and they don't hwlo me and rhe response takes forever! Bose!! I need help!

I, as many, eagerly awaited this products release. I would like to address the negative feedback I've seen from others to date. 1) These are NOT designed or intended to be your go to application for streaming music!!!! It's that simple, these are designed to help you sleep. Not listen to Jay-Z. 2) Comfort - there is something in your ear! This solution will never be as comfortable as NOTHING in your ear. That said, I am a side sleep and have found mild discomfort. I jamb my head into the pill...

I have a Tinnitus condition. When I tried this Sleepbuds, wow... I get my sleep fast and didn't wake up during the night. Comfortable product and better sleep. Thanks Bose
We’ve all been there. Those nights when you just can’t sleep because annoying sounds—like snoring, traffic and loud neighbors—are keeping you awake. So we decided to do something about it—by creating sleepbuds with built-in noise-masking technology. Designed for comfort, these tiny, truly wireless sleepbuds deliver uniquely engineered sounds that mask unwanted noise and lull you to sleep. So you can wake up refreshed and ready to take on the day.
Instead of streaming music, Bose sleepbuds deliver soothing sounds that mask unwanted nighttime noises. And while we’re the first to champion the use of active noise reduction, we discovered that, when it comes to sleep, noise-masking technology is a better solution for the range of sounds that keep you awake — especially voice-based frequencies. So all you will hear is a soothing sound that helps you fall asleep and stay asleep.
The tiny earbud nodule and soft StayHear+ Sleep tips (in three sizes, S/M/L) are designed with side sleepers and toss-and-turners in mind. They fit comfortably and snuggly in your ear for a good night’s rest.
The included charging case is a convenient place to store and protect your sleepbuds when they’re not in use. The case also provides one additional full charge when unplugged, perfect for travel.
Getting to sleep is hard enough. So we designed the Bose Sleep app to make it easy to set up and customize your sleep settings. Just download the app, select a soothing sound, choose your volume level and determine how long you want to use your sleepbuds during the night. Use the same settings every night, or experiment with different options to find what works for you.
Using the Bose Sleep app, you can set wake-up alarms that only you can hear, so you won’t disturb the person sleeping next to you.
Truly wireless sleepbuds with no cords in your way, so you can move freely throughout the night.
No two ears are alike. So, to fit most ear sizes and shapes, and to accommodate side sleepers, we took scores of three-dimensional scans of ear geometry and used them to create a tiny earbud nodule that’s barely larger than a pea. The sleepbuds come with three sizes (S/M/L) of StayHear+ Sleep tips and are designed with a pliable fin that conforms to the upper ridge of your ear. So go ahead and snuggle into your pillow. Curl up on your side. Or stretch out and hog all the covers. Your sleepbuds will fit comfortably and snugly in your ear all night long.
Enjoy the rhythm of rolling waves crashing on a beach. Let yourself be lulled by the gentle rustle of leaves. Feel the crackling comfort of a campfire and the evening serenade of crickets. Choose one of 10 pre-loaded soothing sounds that have been selected and tested to deliver the most effective noise-masking and relaxing experience. And because we’re always working on giving you the best possible experience, more soothing sounds will be available through future software updates.
Bose sleepbuds are designed to help you sleep. Instead of streaming music, they deliver soothing sounds that cover up unwanted noise and help you fall asleep and stay asleep. Choose from 10 pre-loaded soothing sounds, some optimized for masking and others for relaxation.
This combination storage and charging case protects and recharges your sleepbuds while not in use. It’s magnetized, so it keeps your earbuds in place while they charge. And when unplugged, the case also delivers one additional full charge, perfect for when you’re on the go.
