Great speaker with very minor bugs
I bought this speaker with high expectations and have not been disappointed. While a few minor annoyances exist (AirPlay 2 streaming could be improved, and the on-board text-to-speech engine lacking number processing for device names while battery percentages are announced as whole numbers), this product meets my expectations of what a portable Wi-Fi connected speaker needs to do. I love that I can add it to my HomeKit setup and it can be controlled via HomePod, however I do believe this speaker should have its own voice recognition service to perform simple tasks such as track transport, time, or battery level announcements, all without needing an internet connection. I have yet to link this speaker to Amazon or Google's services as I don't like the assistants they offer, preferring to use Siri for privacy reasons. The lack of charging and discharging tones is also a minor bug which can easily be addressed in a software update, as other SoundLink products provide this feedback and it is useful in cases where I need to know if the speaker is charging or not. Otherwise a very helpful and useful product from The Mountain.

I received this a month ago and I'm still not sure if I can access my Sirius radio subscription through the speaker. As a result, I'm getting less functionality than I anticipated so far.

Great Speaker
Awesome Portable Speaker. You can never go wrong with Bose. It's perfectly balanced sound with available treble and bass setting adjustments. I love this speaker. I compared the sound with other portable speakers in the same category and they are no where near this portable speaker.

Sounds Good in Right Environment
I purchased to replace an old Bose Soundstation 2 Docking Station which is a forward facing speaker. I chose this unit as it was one of few wifi connectable units available from Bose. The unit sits in a window of small pool house in our outdoor area were we recently expanded with strong wifi. The old soundstaition sounded great, clean sharp and clear. I was concerned that this unit being a 360 degree speaker would loose sound inside the building but thought I'd try it with the 90 day return policy. I ended up returning it bcause it did not sound clear and sharp in this enviroment. So much bass at times it sounded distorted, even after adjusting equalizer. I ended up replacing with a Bose Soundlink Max Flex which does not offer wifi, but it does sound much closer to our forward facing Bose Soundstation speaker. Bose should consider more wifi options. This unit would also benefit by having a USB-C port to charge a phone at the same time like the Soundlink Max Flex has. This unit sounds pretty good in the center of indoor room, has lots of bass, if that is what you are looking for. In the outdoor enviroment we have, even placed outside in the middle of a outdoor dining table, I did not find it to be very sharp or clear to enjoy music in that entire area. That said, set up was fairly easy, and Bose reps were very helpful if questions arose.

Packs a punch!
This is a great addition to my music outlet opportunities. Good value for money and excellent sound inc bass for a small package. Recommended, especially for those who need music on the go.

Frustrated!!!
The speaker drops the song about 3/4 through the song. I was on tech support for 2.5 hours! It was an amazing effort by Adam who fixed it for 4 songs. We thought it was fixed and signed off. Today it is doing the same thing. FRUSTRATED TO SAY THE LEAST!!!

Great for Bluetooth NOT for Smart Speaker

Rugged Construction that makes it a perfect fit for my shop.
UNFORTUNATELY it is NOT fully baked at all when it comes to the smart speaker features... unlike the JBL Authentic speakers that allow you to use both Alexa and Google features simultaneously, with the Bose, it's either / or. That would not be a deal breaker, but it doesn't work well with either of them. I had to reset the speaker each time I went from one to the other and then the Voice Commands would only work for a few minutes. Sorry to say I am returning it, however, I really need to smart features in my shop as I do not want to have to remove gloves or clean my hands every time I need to interact with the speaker.

Amazing sound quality.
I was given this gift for Christmas from my brother, and it's been one of the best gifts I've received. The sound quality is amazing and it's pretty loud as well. I've created so many memories taking my speaker to airbnbs and to the beach. I especially enjoy taking my portable speaker to the beach because of the vibe it creates. I would definitely recommend picking up this speaker. It elevates all my favorite artists and music.

My wife and I bought the Bose portable about 4 years ago. Still works great! No change in performance. We like it so much we just bought another. Playing them together creates an even greater surround sound! Bose has it figured out! Thank you!

Bose Quality and Sound!!
Amazing sound, solid bass, great battery life! I believe it's better to also purchase the charging base, I use mine as satellite speakers in the foyer and main bedroom, it's nice they are always ready for courtyard duty in the nice weather!
