I have owned these headphones for a little over 2 years now and they have never given me trouble until now. One day while wearing them the hex screw that connects the right ear cup to the headband fell out and disappeared, nowhere to be found. After giving up on ever finding it I called bose customer support who informed me that because my warranty had expired the only thing they could do was send me a whole new headset for over 200 dollars, even though the only thing wrong was the missing screw. They do not sell product pieces. After some research and digging I later saw that this was a common issue and there isn't a good way to fix it due to the engineering of the headphones. Due to the swivel motion of the ear cups the hex screw slowly but surely loosen over time and usually will fall out not until after the warranty expires. And with no hope of finding a replacement due to the shape of the hex screw bose just waits for you to call them and have a brand new set shipped to you at the cost of your old set (which they will fix for less than a dollar), and a little over 200 dollars. Long story short, spend your money on quality headphones elsewhere that will actually last.

Coming from pair of beat up, but functional early model Quiet Comfort headphones purchased back in 2004, I was familiar with the Bose QC, but I was still pleasantly surprised at the quality and comfort that's been achieved in this recent design. I was able to take these on a flight just a day after receiving them. It's impressive to show these off in a store with a nice low air handling rumble, but on a jet these are simply perfect. I was able to listen to music at low levels while repelling the significant droning of the jet engines, and yet still hear someone's voice come through when addressing me. I make sure to grab these for any yard work too: the leaf blower, the lawn mower, and even the higher pitched wining of a Dyson vacuum become obliterated by the active noise canceling, plus the bluetooth connection removes the annoyance of the cable dangling in the way.

These headphones have great noise canceling, and have a great sound. I love them. Also their Bluetooth connection is spot on! PS:Much better than my old Beats!
