We bought this sound system a year ago and recently noticed that the subwoofer keeps on disconnecting in the middle of watching movies. After a short period it connects and shortly after disconnects again. It continously does this. It is really annoying. We tried moving it to different locations around the room and the issue does not go away. We put it right next to the sound bar and still noticed disconnection. We think the Wifi around the room is causing the interference. So, we have moved it to a location away from the TV and other electronic systems. So far, it is ok but the distance has affected the quality of the surround sound! I wished we could have been able to connect with hard wire to the soundbar without using bluetooth; but sadly that has not been built in the system. :-(

This system was the best surround sound system I have ever heard. We professionally installed this unit in a theater room in the basement. Best acoustics and bass ever. Only problem is it stopped connecting to the sub and wouldn’t find the tv input. No sound for days and then it would just come back on. Bose was clueless and support was terrible. Would not recccomed at all. The base station is the worst AV unit to work with. Terrible system setup and remote has no backlight.

I almost bought a new TV but had a chance to hear this system in a store and I was thoroughly impressed. I went with the Bose system and after getting it set up (which was a breeze, I love the wireless sub with no cord to fight), I no longer felt like replacing the tv. Flatscreen tv speakers are horrible and the thinner the tv, the worse the sound. With this system, we watch tv at a lower volume with immensely better sound across the spectrum. The simulated surround sound is convincing, even in an odd shaped setup. The remote is the best I've ever used. Easily controls the system, tv, blu-ray, cable box, and AppleTV. Plus, the remote app for iOS allows you to use a number of online streaming radio services, including SiriusXM. Well worth the expense.

Not gonna repeat what.most are saying about this system as is it wonderful. Love nearly everything about it. My one major gripe is the remote... it's so big, it's noisy, & only a couple of buttons are back-lit. When I say it's noisy I mean the button are extremely clicky. I have 4 other remotes & none of them make a noise when clicking. In this day & and age do we really need such a big remote & if we do why not back light so we can see all the buttons. Change this or give the app more power over settings & this system its worth the full 5 stars

I bought this product around 1 month ago and it worked beautifully for a few days. Then it suddenly began having sporadic sound loss. I exchanged the original after having called technical support and being informed that the system would need to be serviced and that this is a rare problem. Unfortnately, after hooking up the second system it worked perfectly......for a few days, then the sporadic sound problem began all over again. Seriously ready to throw on the towel. This is far too expensive a product to have such shoddy performance. Supremely disappointed.

There should be a warning on the box of this item that says if you purchase me you should have done more homework to see if the remote is compatible with other peripherals like Dish Network receiver and Your Tv. The remote control instructions say in 3 easy steps set up your tv and other devices and when that doesn't work oh well this just wont work....deal with it

Just purchased this system over the weekend. Love the simplicity of it. Not the best system for music. It sounds ok with music but once again this is most likely for home theatre use with movies. By adding two speaker in the living room the system should sound great with music. Love the app to control different zones. Bought this along with the soundtouch 30 and I love the way the system works. Great job Bose!!!

Have been using the product for over 4 months now and trust me the sound is simply excellent. Try to go back to your TV sound and you will realise the greatness of this sound bar. I have used the same with 50" FHD TV and have upgraded TV to SUHD Samsung 65" only to enhance my viewing experience and it is so amazing that words can't explain it. The receiver supports 4K videos also. The universal remote could be a little better to support Apple TV full functions and Smart Tv functionalities of Samsung SUHD TV. Mounting bracket cost is a little steep, however the sound ad supports wall and table top set up while adjusting sound throw using AdaptiQ. Overall an excellent product is you want the best sound for your movies and daily routine TV viewing.

This is a more a review for the whole soundtouch family. I live in a three story townhouse and bought the 130 for my entertainment center in the basement, the 30 for the living room on the main floor and the 20 for my bedroom upstairs. Individually, they deliver the performance I was looking for, but as a group, there are two primary issues I have identified so far. First, it's great that I can group speakers and listen to the same music on them. The problem is with the home/anchor speaker. As an example, if I am listening to music in my bedroom and want to go downstairs and continue listening to the same music, I can add a speaker in another part of the house, but I cannot turn the speaker in my bedroom off once I get there without interrupting whatever I am streaming because I turned it on first and whatever I am listening to is anchored to that speaker for some reason. This really surprised me. Bose should update the software so that you can easily change the home/anchor speaker and shut off speakers that you aren't listening to (even if they were the original home/anchor speaker). Alternatively, just get rid of the home/anchor speaker functionality altogether once a speaker "group" is created and anchor whatever is streaming to the app. This seems like a no-brainer. Also, it is impossible to group speakers and listen to the same thing on them other than music available through the app. This is probably a criticism of the 130 primarily, at least for my setup. For example, I have my cable, a record player and a blueray hooked up to my 130, but I can't extend the the sound from any of those devices onto other speakers in my house. I don't see why I can't group other speakers with my 130 to listen to a record or the audio from a football game when I go to other rooms. The devices should function more like a unified stereo system for music, or for any other audio input on the home theater systems (e.g. 130 in my case). I probably would not have bought the speakers if I had known these limitations, and may still return them since I have only had them for a week.

I purchased the sound touch 130 and paired it with a new Samsung 65" uhd tv. Setup was very easy and I'm extremely pleased with the high quality sound in my 21' x 16' living room.

I own several of Bose products. So far this is the best. I can easily hear sound and voices which I never heard before. Pros: Best sound ever (for the price and the easiness of the setup. Cons: Initial Setup could have been easier. Remote is old school, not sure why is it so heavy and not illuminated (on request) for the price I paid.

Replaced 5 speaker setup and receiver setup with this smaller and clearer sound system. The 3D effect is not as great. The clarity of voice is much improved. Since this went into living room, the reduction of cables was an added benefit.

I bought this system and it was every easy to setup and sounds awesome. Just after a day or so bluetooth started getting disconnected. It just breaks the connection for a moment and reconnects. It is quite disturbing. I tried all the things mentioned on the web, but the issue still persisted. I returned my sound system. Bluetooth is such a basic feature and still Bose can't make it right. I hope Bose fixes this issue.

Ok I just bought this a week ago and the main reason was at the store it sounded awesome (and I couldn't afford one till now) and i was tired of all the wires from my Onkyo 7.1 surround System and speakers everywhere ( I wanted a clean And as few wires as possible great sounding system)it is my first Bose item ever and I just bought my 65" Sony 4k Tv and this system said it has 4K pass through which was important since I also have my 4k Samsung Bluray player So I hooked it up in about an hour and ran the Adapt IQ and WOW !! the sound and picture were Jawdropping I love it. But for your info its not a completely wireless system the Soundbar has to be plugged in to power and another wire for the sound and the Bluetooth also has to be plugged in to the main unit via a s video looking cord the Acoustimass (SUB) is however is completely wireless except for its power plug. So I plugged in all my components via the HDMI ports in the back of the main unit and the Tv to the ARC HDMI. The problem I have is that everything sounds thru the Soundbar and there is times late at night I just want the Tv to play cause my family is asleep but the the whole unit plays sound and not the Tv. I cant figure that part out ? Oh and one cool thing is I just hit one button like on my PS4 controller and the Tv and Bose unit turns on by itself and sets the correct input that is currently playing....very awesome other than that little hic-cup I highly recommend this to anyone that want a high quality Sounding system with as little wires as possible One question though Bose... is it possible to add another Acoustimass Module to the current system and what other Bose units are Compatible and can wirelessly connect to this system?

Bought the 130 a few months ago, took a long time to set up with all kinds of updates to the software and whatnot, but once up and running it sounds fantastic in a large room. I was excited to use the app and be able to stream my music library, etc., but to stream from your music library on a computer is a nightmare. Bluetooth works ok from my iPhone, but phone needs to be no further than about 20 feet from the wireless module to work without interruption. Overall good rating because of the fantastic sound quality but the app could really use revamping.

I have had this system for just a few weeks, but I've already noticed an annoying feature. While watching TV or playing a DVD/Blu-Ray the sound will intermittently cut out for a split second. I have no idea why this happens, or how to fix it, but it's extremely annoying.

Bought this last week and am loving the sound that this unit pumps out. Movie soundtracks are great with clear voices and a room full of bass when needed. Easy to set-up and no drama at all. Best part is the connectivity - one HDMI cable into the TV and all components into the BOSE base unit - simple, simple, simple. If you want a great sound without the mess of cables across your lounge, then this is a highly recommended solution. You get what you pay for and ignore some of the shiny, curved options out there - not in the same league.

Bought this about 3 weeks ago and I love it. Sounds great. I have a PS3 (which is my Blu-ray player) and my Cable box connected directly to the Console. Then I use the provided HDMI cable to go from the console to my 2012 Sharp HDTV. I did not need to connect an optical cable for sound. I placed the wireless subwoofer behind my couch and I am loving it. Blu-ray movies, streaming Netflick/Amazon Prime, plus cable all sound fantastic. I especially love the SoundTouch. I listen to Sirius/XM, Pandora, and a host of internet radio stations. Listed to an all Pink Floyd station out of Moscow! No problems at all with the 130. Very easy to setup. I will never watch TV again without using my Bose 130. Well worth it. I am a very happy/satisfied customer!

My husband and I bought this to replace a JVC Theater system after we bought the SoundTouch 10 and heard how awesome it sounded. The SoundTouch 130 is a definite improvement from what we had before. You can hear and feel the movies and music now. I like the ability to play everywhere, except that this function does not work when playing music or movies through the main system. It says the system is playing another source. It would be great if all sources could be extended to the other speakers. The ability to play my music library and online music sources throughout the house is awesome though. I just hope Bose finds a way of allowing us to play whatever is playing throughout the house.

I love the system has great sound. I love the fact I can listen to internet radio in any room. I have had it turn on a couple times on its own. Scared my wife we work nights and it was on when we came home

I purchased the Soundtouch 130 a few weeks ago at a local outlet store. I was pleased they had the unit in stock, and received excellent service from their employees. The system was very easy to setup, and the AdaptiQ process was pretty cool. I adjusted the sound properties and the results were what I always expect from Bose. By far the best soundbar I've ever experienced. She's pricey, but the sound is great. When I used the internal TVs Amazon prime to watch a show, I could not get any sound. I tried numerous settings to no avail. My last option was to connect an optical audio cable from my TV to the console, which worked perfectly. I can now watch programs through my satellite OR internal smart TV seamlessly. When I switch devices, the controller automatically recognized the source. The only issue I am having is with the SoundTouch app on my iPhone. I connected the device and everything seemed to work fine. When I reconnected, however, it did not connect. I had to go through the connection process again. Everytime I try to use the SoundTouch service, I have to go through the entire setup process, then once connected, it will lose it's connection and the ability to change anything within the app. I don't see myself using this service very often, but would like it to work. My next step will be to contact Bose support to see if I am doing something wrong. All in all, a great sounding system

I've been living with my system for a year, but not happy with peculiar behaviors. 1. If I don't turn the 130 on prior to my cable box and tv, I get no picture. I've never seen anything like this. 2. The absolute worst remote control receiver. Whether I use the system remote OR my universal remote, I have to literally be within 2 feet and directly in front of the unit to make it respond. And yes, I've put fresh batteries in both remotes, to no avail. Both of these limitations seem to be inherent and not malfunctions. If there is a fix I'd love to hear it, otherwise I could never recommend this product. Just very annoying and inconvenient, not at all what I expected for the money or from the Bose reputation for quality.

Just purchased this system, very easy setup and operation. Much much better overall sound and surround sound effect than my previous sony soundbar which wasn't any cheaper. The adaptIQ is awesome and very easy to set up. My only complaint is that the sub lacks in comparison to my previous sony, by quite a bit. Binge watched house of cards right after setting up and the difference in the bass is very noticeable compared to what I am used to. Even with the bass level all the way up. I don't know if there is an optional sub that is larger or maybe a software update for better bass, but if there is I would strongly consider it.

Initially had trouble with new SMART HUB and new smart TV's. It controls everything by your going to need an optic cable to use your TV's apps. It comes with an HDMI but with technology advancing you might wanna throw a optic cable in there!!! Still amazing system

Plenty of sound for a good size living room

I had this unit for almost a year now. Even know it's a bit pricey compare to other sound bar but I think it worth the money. Highly recommend to buy the bluetool unit so you can play music from phone through this system.

Universal remote works with the control console to offer one-button access to your entertainment
Stream millions of songs through Spotify, Pandora, iHeartRadio and Deezer, as well as Internet radio stations or your own stored music library. A free app lets you control your music from anywhere in the house with your phone or tablet. And six easily programmable presets let you play your favorite music from the app or the included remote. The SoundTouch 130 system is part of an entire family of wireless products for every room of your home. Start with one and add more whenever you want. They all work together to play the same music in every room or different music in different rooms.
The SoundTouch 130 system is also easy to use. A small control console with four HDMI inputs connects directly to your cable box, Blu-ray Disc player or gaming system. This ensures you hear the movie or soundtrack the way it was meant to be. Conventional systems that connect only to the TV's audio often lose audio performance as the signal passes through the TV. The console also lets you easily control your entertainment and displays the source you've selected. And it works with a universal remote for one-button access to your entertainment. In addition, the ADAPTiQ audio calibration system adjusts the sound to provide optimal performance based on where you place the soundbar and your room's unique size and shape.
The SoundTouch 130 system's elegant design blends with your flat-panel TV and visually integrates into your room. Whether you lay the sound bar flat or wall mount it, Flexmount technology adjusts the sound for optimal performance in either position. And the wireless Acoustimass module provides impactful bass even if you hide it behind furniture and out of sight. The SoundTouch 130 system is flexible, too. It's compatible with 4K video. Video will pass through from a source device to the TV at 24 or 30 fps, so if you own an Ultra HD TV, you can add Bose sound easily. Hear what better sound can do for your favorite TV shows, movies and music.
The science behind the sound
On the surface-or on the wall-it looks beautiful. But the technology packed inside the enclosure is what makes this soundbar truly shine. Six precisely positioned drivers and two PhaseGuide sound radiators deliver detailed sound throughout the room. Strong dialogue from the center, compelling effects from the left and right. All told, it's an immersive performance that extends well beyond the speaker's physical size to bring out the best in your movies, music and sports.
Notable bass performance
The wireless Acoustimass module adds dramatic low notes to your entertainment-without adding a cable connection from the module to the speaker. With a signal range of 30', you can place it pretty much anywhere in the room. Even if hidden from view, you'll notice the extra level of realism it provides, from clashes at the line of scrimmage to a stadium crowd rising as one.
Sound designed for your room
Wood floors, plush rugs, unique room dimensions. Believe it or not, they can all affect sound. That's where the ADAPTiQ audio calibration system comes in. It adjusts the speaker's performance to the acoustics of your room, so you don't have to change a thing. Once you've placed your speaker, just run the ADAPTiQ system and enjoy consistent performance throughout the room from then on.
EXPLORing music with SoundTouch
With SoundTouch, you can discover and enjoy music more effortlessly than ever before. Wirelessly stream millions of songs through Spotify, Pandora, iHeartRadio and Deezer, as well as Internet radio stations and your own music library. A powerful app lets you control your music from anywhere in the house with your phone or tablet. And six easily programmable presets let you play your favorite music from the app or the included universal RF remote.
