It has been three weeks since the purchase, and boy does the speaker sounds so good. I want to highlight two things: 1. Looks and portability - I wanted a compact yet powerful speaker. After a lot of research, I was confused many speakers in this range - Bose SoundLink Mini II, Marshal Stockwell, UE MegaBoom, etc. But, fact of the matter is that no other speakers look as sophisticated as Bose. This model was released many years ago initially, but still one of the best looking portable speakers in the market. It looks sharp, subtle, compact, and is heavy. The unibody aluminium makes the speaker study and rich. 2. Sound quality - So far, I have only heard about Bose's sound quality, but never owned a Bose speaker before. I was really surprised with this speaker. It has such brilliant sound quality, most clear lows & highs, and especially very deep bass. I don't think any other speaker of this size and looks sounds as good as this one. Conclusion - Trust Bose and go for it. All in.

I kept my Soundlink mini on my desk in the cradle and no I noticed the battery indicator is solid red. tried moving to another AC outlet, tried charging without the cradle, tried the reset and then tried to upload new firmware, .....but the battery is dead, ....so it tells me to re-charge for awhile and then re-try. well that won't work, since the battery taking any charge seems to be the issue. So I guess I have a paperweight, or I can send out and pay more, for a replacement battery??

Costco had it on sale and decided to buy it for my first but will b my last. It has good sound quality, but the 8 or 10 hour battery depends on the volume, I compared dat to my coworkers jbl and his one even at 1/2 volume drowns out the Bose and only slightly bigger.

Best sound quality ive heard from a speaker this size. Very impressed with this speaker. I listen to it everyday. I’ve had the original sound link mini for over three years and it still works great. Upgraded to the mini II over a year ago and it’s even better. The battery lasts all day and will stay good unless it’s constantly left on the charger. I’ve dropped it countless times and even left it out in the rain on accident and it still works! Quality.

bought slightly over a year ago, it won't hold ANY charge, won't power on even when plugged in. $80 to replace? there are a few companies that STAND behind their products, Vitamix-replacement sent-no cost-no questions. Dyson-impressed with their srevice. Bose NEVER AGAIN. And I doubt they'll try to make it right.

I have two SoundLink Minis and probably going to purchase a third. Great bluetooth speaker. OK, here's the secret... this little guy is a fantastic "mini soundbar". The two Mini's I currently have are setup as sound bars for a 32" office TV and a 40" bedroom TV. Small, discrete and great sounding sound bars. I know this product is slowly going away which is why I'm going to purchase a third. Nothing like it on the market. Get them while you can !

As with other reviewers, My Bose II Mini also stopped taking a charge after about a year of use (3-6 hrs/wk). This is too short of time for a supposed quality name like Bose to fail.

I've had my Bose speaker for a while now but I have to keep it plugged in all the time now because it doesn't stay charged. I use it may be 10 hours a week but by the end of an hour training session its down from 100% to 70%, and by the end of my second session it s at 40%?? I'm even using the charging cable it came with??

This replaced a sounlink III that I liked but whose rechargable battery died. I should have gotten the soundlink micro for a lot less money. I heard one last night and it was so much better. If only I can figure out how to return it.

Worked for a couple of years and now battery is flashing red. I hear it’s a common problem and very expensive to fix. I was told that I am not able to replace battery myself. Not good to your customers that such and expensive product goes bad so quickly with no recourse or t least not a cost effective one!

1 month outside of the warranty and the battery stops working - either in the cradle or plugged directly into the mains the device will not charge. Incredibly disappointing from what was an expensive purchase and a company I have previously had excellent service from. Will not be purchasing Bose again unless their loyalty to their customers improves and the batteries in these clearly faulty devices are replaced.

Firstly it would constantly drop the Bluetooth connection. That resolved itself after 38(!) re-sets of the Bluetooth pairing. Then it decided it would not charge, at all. It is now in the bin. Was a Bose fan, but the sound bar will now be a Sonos

I've had my Mini for almost 2yrs now and it just quit. The speaker sputtered, scratched and then simply quit working. The pairing works perfect, the power supply and battery is still working, but the speaker itself just quit. So sad and the warranty is gone.

After owning this speaker for 4 years I can safely say this is the best speaker I will ever own. Battery life - amazing can use this for a long weekend of camping and boozing no issue. Durability - People who moan about the durability? I have no idea what they’re talking about because I’ve had no issues and I’ve dragged mine all over the world. Sound - amazing, people comment on how god it sounds all the time, especially relative to its size (both in clarity and volume).

A few months after my purchase I too experienced mine not taking a charge. Did all the trouble shooting I could with hard resets, etc. and ending up sending it back to Bose fir repair. It worked great for another few months and then the same thing happened. Its now a $200 paper weight. The Bose name is supposed to stand for quality, but this ain't it. Super disappointed.

The sound is incredible. Especially considering how small the speaker is. I love being able to take this on any trip I go on. I have had a soundlink mini for four years and I will never want another speaker!

This is the second Soundlink Mini I've gone through in 3 years. Excellent sound as I would expect from Bose. Within a year the battery indicator started blinking orange and soon after held at a solid red and will not take a charge. Such an absolute waste of money.

I bought this refurbished and have had this item over a year. It never fails to deliver. It connects instantly and holds a charge for a long time. Delivers great sound. and use it all the time. It's a little on the heavier side but built for durability and is easily portable. Love this speaker and would buy it again.

I bought this a month ago at Costco. It worked fine 3-4 times. Cannot get it to connect to my iPhone. Tried my husband’s iphone. Same lousy result. Returning it. Seems like this is a common problem. Wished I had read reviews before purchasing.

Amazing Bluetooth Speaker!
By Minnesota S.
Preordered my SoundLink Mini ll Bluetooth Speaker and it arrived on Friday, June 19th, one ahead of its release :-)! Very impressive! Having had two Bose Wave Radios in my home for many years, I wondered if the Mini could provide the same sound quality I had come to enjoy from my Wave Radio. To compare the sound quality, I set up both the radio and the Bluetooth speaker to play the exact same song at exactly the same time. The results confirmed what I suspected. The SoundLink Mini ll Bluetoot...

VoicePrompts: A Blessing for the Blind
By Andre L.
I have the original Soundlink Mini, but despite that, after reading the featureset of the Mini II, I simply had to obtain this one and I don't regret it in the slightest. I was always rather disappointed that the original Soundlink Mini did not talk, unlike it's smaller rival from another company. The Mini II puts all that to rest however, and including the multi-function button, makes this speaker absolutely top of it's class. It's quite clear Bose listened to their customers when designing ...
