I bought these head phones a few months ago in the airport, a few months later the left ear sound did not work... I am very dissapointed about this headphone. I own other 3 headphones from bose and those are very good quality after years of use.

I bought them a couple of years back and I have the mint model, they sound great. I listen to music on a regular basis and have had my fair share of headphones, I believe that these are the best ones i've had yet. However, I have noticed some.....issues with the wire and cushions. The wire gets damaged extremely easily and the fact that it's so long makes the situation worse, it gets tangled up pretty much everywhere and it gets really damaged. The leather on the ear cushions and head thing is extremely thin and cracks after just a couple of weeks. The leather on my left cushion has peeled off almost completely. But apart from that the sound is incredible, they're extremely comfortable and just overall good looking!

I got these headphones as a gift and I have loved them so far. They are super comfortable for every day task and specially for school. The only problem is the music leakage.

I bought these about six months ago and when I unpackaged them I found the cable they came with to be very thin. I was a little worried that it would break so I avoided using them out of the house. I took them on a trip recently and to my disappointment the wire broke. This wouldn't be such an issue but the cable is not a standard cable so replacing it is not as simple as it should be. I had 2 other cables that I could use but the cable did not fit into the headphones. I was very disappointed and should have returned them when I opened the box. I guess it's how we learn.

I bought a set of SoundTrue around-the-ear headphones. Of course they have Bose's legendary reputation behind them, and Wirecutter reated them as the The Best Over-Ear Headphones Under $400 -- quite a kudo for the actual price! They're very comfortable and the sound is great. They're great-looking and the travel case is quie handsome. But . . . These headsets feature a modular cord -- any Bose cord could be inserted, if others were available. But they aren't. The only cord available is for Apple i-devices. Considering it's modular, why can't I get a cord that works with Samsung, or BlackBerry devices? It's great to attract Apple users but not great to alienate everyone else. Seems like a simple swap but until it's available, I have to take a star away for the Apple features that won't work on anything else.

The sound quality is great, these headphones are really comfortable and portable. I enjoyed them a lot. After 1,5-2 years of usage the left headphone stopped giving out sound. I thought it was al tight because I usually carried them in the back pack, I decided to buy a new pair. I got it one year ago, exactly. Yesterday left headphone started causing problems and loosing sound, It just stopped working right now. I am pretty frustrated about it right now. As I thought that it was some mechanical issue at first place, now I am more sure that it is something in the electronic part of the headphone, because both of my pairs broke the exact same way. I was thinking about quitting my experience with this model. I hope that more advanced models or other brand will not have such an issue.

I got these for my cousin when she asked me for headphones. She called today, saying they sounded better than Beats she tested in the store. She is happy with the quality - and I am happy with the savings.

I bought these headphones on a whim at a local store where there was a sale and I had a gift card. I could not be any happier. I've hardly taken them off. Songs sound amazing, super comfortable, sounds like you are in the studio.

Sound is great (not totally noise canceling, but that's not what it claims to do) and I bought these headphone when in 2008 and they STILL work. I have gotten them wet, sat on them, yanked too hard on the extendable headband, painted them, had a small child poke at the inner speakers with sharp objects, thrown them across rooms at solid objects, had cats try to prey upon them in various ways, and they STILL work like the day I bought them. The felt that wraps the ear cushions have partially disconnected, leaving me to manually re-insert them when I use them, but this happened only after 5 years of continuous, reckless use. The only part that needs occasional (average of ~ 2 years) replacement is the audio cable (cats chew on them, I never seem to learn to keep them away) but this is detachable and can be replaced for less than $8. I am a total cheapskate and terrible at taking care of things. I really only buy things I hope I cannot destroy. This is one rare product that actually serves that purpose. I freaking love these things.

Bought them before Xmas and it was well worth the money. Bose cords actually last longer when being wibbled around by general activity. My lifestyle hasn't broken them yet ^_^

These headphones are too good, I was not looking for nor desiring something of this quality. All of my playlists are made with the expectation that my headphones will get uncomfortable after an hour or two, now all of that is for nothing because these just don't hurt. Whether or not you have a head like a horse or a rhino you will be fine. I accidentally wore these headphones to bed because they were so comfortable I forgot to take them off. It gave me horrible bedhead. And what was Bose thinking making the passive sound cancelling so good? Now it's impossible to simultaneously listen to music AND eavesdrop on the mom and her crying kid two rows in front of me on the bus. What even is engine noise? How am I supposed to tell if there is a pending engine failure or problem with the transmission with these things around? I bought all these batteries expecting to have to provide auxiliary power for such high quality headphones but apparently they can just take their energy from your device. So finally I thought I had found the weakness and that these were the crappy headphones I was looking for until I realized they took so little energy that it would never affect my device battery life. Not to mention that these things fit around your ear like a palace. Even with sizeable stud earrings and a large hair bun on her head my girl said these were the most comfortable headphones she'd ever used. Bose doesn't understand that I WANT my girl to complain more about things. What were we going to talk about on the long bus ride home if she was just silently and comfortably listening to music without complaining about a thing? Come on, Bose. And what sort of person even has the foresight to make the most failure-prone part of a headset (the wire) replaceable? I want my headphones made in this decade, or preferably last decade, not the sort of futuristic intelligent stuff Bose puts into it. This is a satirical review. Using these is the closest any such product has come to changing my life. Greatest headphones ever. Also, even if you don't go for these, DO NOT go for the Sennheiser HD 205 Over-Ear headphones. They are certainly not over ear and I would describe them more as head-clamps than headphones. I had them replaced 3 times due to regular wire (it's a non replaceable wire) failure and found the same problems each time.

I bought these headphones about a month ago, and I am very pleased! These are great for college and just any day listening. They are super light and extremely comfortable; I can wear them for 6+ hours and still not get tired of them....The only downside would be sound leakage.

I enjoy these headset often at home on my Kindle HDX when I stream Spotify music. The sound is crisp and clear, bass is powerful but not overdriven. They carry over hours very comfortable and sometimes I forget about them. On the road I use my QC 3 since I want the noise cancelling then, especially on planes.

Having used these headphones for nearly 6 months I can say, without a shadow of a doubt, that these headphones are worth every penny. They provide the best sound quality I have ever heard, they're amazing comfortable and are perfect for drowning out the noises on the tube. Highly Recommended!

I was so excited to buy my first bose truesound headphones. For that price I must say I am disappointed. Sound is crystal clear no doubt about that but no bass whatsoever. When you spend that amount of money you expect everything and bose has earned their name to bank upon. As i did, but I have headphones with much better bass and experience for much much lesser price. I had to try bose, so I did.. but I doubt if I will ever return to bose for headphones!!

These headphones are honestly brilliant. Amazing sound quality and by far the most comfortable pair of headphones on the market. I once used them for 12 hours straight with no problems whatsoever. Would recommend these to anyone.

There are two weak points to my old 'around-the-ears': the foam earpiece separating and the thinnest if the gauge of wire used which broke contact internally and was not possible to repair - of course using them every day for hours over at least a couple of years each....well, what can I say? I'm back for another pair, for comfort and sound quality. In the first instance, Bose sent me replacement ear pads.

These super slim and compact on - ear headphones are the best of the sets i own. I feel proud to own these headphones for its distinct superior quality and impeccable style. These are very reasonably priced with bose quality and style intact.for a casual user like me they just meet all my criteria. I dont feel any noise in the room. I would definitely recommend the set to my colleagues and friends. I know i am going to have a great time.

I love these headphones but they seem to have one, reoccurring, fatal flaw; the headphone jack. The small, copper colored jack seems to bend and even snap with unnerving ease. This piece, for me, has snapped four times at this point, requiring me to replace the entire cord four times. If I break it one more time, the amount of money I spend replacing these cords will almost be the equivalent of the cost of the headphones themselves. I hope this issue is solved and the obvious defect in the product is noted.

Not joking, I use these headphones every day. I am a college student so am constantly working in a noisy environment. These headphones are perfect. They're super light so I bring them everywhere in my backpack. They are not technically noise cancelling, but when you listen to music you can barely hear the ambient noise. I also use them every time I travel long distance as a passenger in a car and while flying. I highly recommend them for students, travelers, and everyone!

I don't know whats going with bose these days. I think there trying to be too cool and losing focus on their sound quality. These headphones aren't what I expected from Bose. The color options are terrible too.

I recently received your SoundTrue On Ear Headphones as a replacement for OE2 Headphones with which I was not satisfied. (Poor sound quality, muffled, no ability to remove-replace the foam cushions. While I was pleased with your service and the generous offer to upgrade to the SoundTrue model, I have to say that these headphones are as bad, if not worse than the OE2's. Has anyone at Bose actually listened to music through these? With their overpowering bass, muffled mid-range, and nonexistent higher frequencies, they are truly unlistenable. I am not exaggerating when I say that a $15 set from Radio Shack sounds slightly BETTER! I have owned a set of your original On Ear Headphones, purchased at Costco approximately in 2009, and LOVED THEM. Great frequency response, excellent, crisp highs, clear mids, controlled lows. They had replaceable cushions and detachable cords that helped prevent damage in the event that the cord snagged on something. They have been a pleasure, and that is the reason I tried to find them again on Amazon, since the wire began shorting out. Nothing you make in the $100-$150 range can compare any more. These newer models have cushions glued on, are a flimsier construction, and they have a proprietary mini jack that can damage the headphone if they are accidentally pulled out. For a company that touts a commitment to making high quality audio products, I would think you might be concerned about marketing such poor quality headphones, especially at a distinctly non low-budget price. SAD TO SAY I AM NO LONGER A BOSE CUSTOMER.

this is a fantastic device. stylish, build quality is excellent and most importantly, the sound quality is top notch. easy to setup, took all of 10 minutes from the initial connection via usb to my laptop thru to downloading the latest update from bose and powering on. aside from the build and sound quality above, the bose has 2 essential features for me: airplay and the presets. airplay - i have 2 airplay speakers (inc this one) in my flat. and can stream my entire music collection without issue to both at the same time (via my 7yr old dell laptop). i plan on buying an itouch 5g to compliment my speakers so i can have all of my music collection easily at hand and airplay via that. the 6 very handy presets on top. i have 5 presets for radio stations. the other one i have set up for a itunes playlist (which remembers where you previously left off even after selecting another preset or powering down!) i certainly do not suffer internet connection issues as reported by the other reviewers. i think they have either a router that is not setup properly or the more likely problem is that they have many other variables in their household that interfere with their wifi signals. i highly recommend this device. shop around though, this can be had for £268 delivered :)

I love these headphones, the sound quality is great and their around-ear design makes them unbelievably comfortable. However, the cable is the only, and extremely annoying default as the cable is too long and is made of a ''rubbery, sticky'' material that attaches to your clothes when you make a sudden move.
