The Soundtouch wireless link adaptor was added seamlessly to a already existing group of 4 Soundtouch speakers. In my case the attached item was set at half volume and I could adjust the volume to zero and back to half volume from the Soundtouch app.

I brought this as I have previously struggled to connect my new tv to the old analogue lifestyle Bose system. This wireless adapter has worked perfectly and had not failed to connect. I have started to enjoy surround sound movies again!

I've connected this to my amplifier, so I can now use that system as part of the Bose Soundtouch system and can also include it when using Airplay 2. It works flawlessly.

Good product, am using it via AirPlay 2 to connect our remaining wired older speaker (also Bose). Like the web app and native app for install and use for all Bose sound link products (we have four) it’s super fiddly to connect to the network. The device’s own wifi signal which you have to connect to as part of the install, like all other Bose products, is super weak. Drops out during the process many times and you have to start again. Then it’s great.

The Bose Soundtouch Wireless Link Adapter works great with our old Bose Lifestyle 28 entertainment system and was delivered as advertised. Adorama is a great company to do business with to acquire a host of electronic items.

I purchase this a month ago as I have an old Bose Wave which is in really good condition but didn't have Bluetooth so couldn't play music from Deezer on my phone to my speakers. So easy to set up, worth the money!

I returned it - I wanted to connect this for my outdoor marine speakers but the signal was not strong enough even with my Bose amplifier and my wi-if extender

I bought the SoundTouch Wireless Link Adaptor to be able to stream music to a 1980's amplifier. I have music stored on a Network Drive and a subscription to Amazon music. The Bose App works seamlessly with both. As I already have a SoundTouch 10 and SoundTouch 20 I now have a great Multi Room set up. Thanks Bose.

I recently purchased the adapter to enable me to use my Acoustic Wave CD-3000 with my other Bose products. I found it very easy to set up and it has given the CD-3000 a new lease of life! I have always been extremely pleased with the sound quality from this particular system and it is great that it works seamlessly with my Bose Wave SoundTouch 1V. I can highly recommend the Bose Wireless Link adapter.

I've had the Soundtouch adapter for a month or so. I'm SO happy to be able to play spotify, and music from my i-phone on my 12+ year old lifestyle system. Working from home in COVID isolation is so much better now!!! I have great sounding music. However, I'm not happy about the fact that the connection drops out constantly. I can take a phone call and then I have to reconnect the bluetooth connection. A 30 minute meeting with music paused, and I have to reconnect the bluetooth connection. It's driving me nuts. I can jump in my car and get instant connection, and it stays connected. Why is it so hard for Bose to do the same?

An amazing product. Had previously used Gramofons, but these had always been unreliable and lack of ongoing tech support became an issue with newer Broadband routers. Bought two of these recently and a SoundTouch 20 Wireless speaker and I now have a fully connected wireless music home again! Adding the Alexa Skill to my Echo Plus home hub is the icing on the cake. Would definitely recommend.

Does exactly what it says in the product description and is a great addition to my SoundTouch system, as well as breathing new life into a 15-year old Wave speaker that was starting to languish on the shelf as we’ve progressively replaced CDs with online music. Connects easily through the AUX port on the Wave and gives us the great sound quality of the Wave and the flexibility of WiFi. Only had it for a week so can’t comment on reliability but so far seems fine and was easy to set up in the same way as any other SoundTouch unit.

It won’t retain a new name in the app so the app stupidly can’t locate the speaker when it’s looking for the default name. I’m a Bose lover but this firmware bug is aggravating and beneath the usual excellence of the development team so they deserve a one-star review.

If anyone still has their older Bose Acoustic Wave II system, this Sound Touch Wireless Link adapter is perfect pair to today's digital music. I never thought I would use my Wave system again because all my music is downloaded and I love to use the music apps on my iPhone and iPad. I do have other Bose portable speakers but my Wave system is larger and the sound is unlike any other. I was sad thinking that I would never use it again, but now I don't have to worry about that anymore and I am thrilled!

Bought this for my wife for her birthday to hook up to our older Bose Speaker. It’s a great idea to allow a wireless update to the system, but it is, unfortunately, pretty inconsistent in its performance. It’s apt to disconnect, while all indications are that it remains connected, it simply doesn’t function. Rebooting multiple can work, but not always. We have always loved Bose products—we have seven sets of Bose noise cancelling headsets in our family, three Bose speakers, and two Soundlink speakers. Obviously, we are Bose fans. But this is the most disappointing Bose product we’ve purchased. I’m disappointed that I gave it to my wife as a gift.

I no longer can sync music from my Mac running Catalina 10.15.4, it says to refresh music from your computer library to the app right click and sync, u can't because their is no longer iTunes and I cannot believe they have not updated this app to recognize that.

it is very disappointing but doesn't work with new BOSE Music app (requires old SoundTouch app) which means doesn't work with latest devices like SoundTouch 500 and 700 bars etc.

I bought this over the holidays to get my old wired subwoofer to play with my Soundtouch speakers. Easy to set up and it worked fine for about a month then it disconnected and I have not been able to reconnect since. My experience with the Soundtouch app has in general been poor. It is inconsistent and non-intuitive in my experience. It should be so much easier and more reliable.

I have several Wave radio/CD players that I considered to be outdated since they were not bluetooth enabled. With this simple fix they are no longer just dust collectors.

I really do like the Soundtouch Wireless Link. I own a great deal of Bose products - some newer and many very old. I purchased four of these devices to connect to my older home Bose products. First I connected them to my home theater systems (Bose) that I have had over 20 years. This allowed me to stream music from my computer, tablet and phone throughout my surround sound systems on both floors. In addition, I connected two SoundTouch links to two original Bose wave radios. This addition breathed life into these old devices! To complete the whole house, I add some Soundtouch 10 speakers in various bedrooms and the kitchen. Hooked all of them up to stream music throughout my whole house. This really is an excellent device! The only problem I can see (and why I rated it four stars) is that it does not support Apple Music and the setting to stream from your own downloaded music stored on your computer is very buggy. It only works about 10% of the time.

Perfect solution to my audio dilemma!

I recently moved into a brand new home that had pre-wiring and bracing in the walls. The mount on the wall had two HDMI outlets and a power outlet but NO audio hookup. I was unable to use my Bose 3-2-1 surround sound for regular TV viewing or with my AppleTV when I have parties. This adapter allows my TV to connect to the older Bose system via Bluetooth. It turns out a lot of newer TVs have Bluetooth compatibility. Now I can play music on my AppleTV and stream it through my Bose 3-2-1 AND als...

I bought this Bose sound touch wireless link a week ago and i am already in love with this product.Quality sound, great app and the best thing is it has a lot of features.
Transform your speakers. Stream the music you want. Wirelessly
You love your current speakers. But there's a world of wireless music they just can't access. Until now. Transform your stereo or home theater system by adding the SoundTouch Wireless Link adapter and stream music from your home Wi-Fi or Bluetooth devices. Use the SoundTouch app to control your music easily. You can even play music all throughout your home by expanding with other SoundTouch speakers. Make your speakers smarter: turn them wireless and stream the music you want. It's that simple.
Gives you easy access to wireless music through your existing speakers, such as a stereo system, home theater system or docking speaker
Uses your home Wi-Fi network or Bluetooth devices for easy access to your favorite music
Easily expands with other SoundTouch speakers to stream music throughout your home
Easy setup and all necessary cables are provided
SoundTouch app puts you in full control of your music through your phone or tablet
So, what exactly can connect
The adapter has three common inputs (optical, AUX and RCA), so anything that supports one of them can become a SoundTouch wireless music system. Most stereo systems, home theater systems and docking speakers are compatible-so chances are, what you have in your living room will work after a quick plug-in and setup. Already own a Bose system Many of them are compatible, too, including most Lifestyle, CineMate, Wave, SoundDock and SoundLink products.
Exploring music with SoundTouch
SoundTouch gives you wireless access to your favorite music services like Spotify and Pandora, plus Internet radio stations and your stored music library. They connect to your home Wi-Fi network so you can play music directly from the Internet to the system itself-or hear anything you want from a phone or tablet with Bluetooth technology.
Grow your system
The beauty of SoundTouch systems is that they're made to grow with you. If you start with the SoundTouch Wireless Link for your stereo receiver, you can add more anytime: it could be a SoundTouch 10 speaker for the kitchen or a SoundTouch 20 speaker for the bedroom. Sync them all together to play the same music in every room or different music in different rooms. They're made for the way you live and the way you listen.
A free, powerful app
The free SoundTouch app gives you control of your SoundTouch Wireless Link adapter from a smartphone or tablet. Use it to browse music-and control that music throughout your home. Start streaming instantly or use the app to personalize the presets to your favorite playlists and stations.
Bluetooth built in
SoundTouch systems feature Bluetooth connectivity to stream music from any compatible device-whenever you want. This allows you to listen to even more sources, like YouTube.
Have speakers, but no receiver
If you have passive speakers, the SoundTouch SA-5 amplifier both powers them and connects to your home Wi-Fi network. So you'll get a world of wireless music through your passive speakers, too. It makes it easy to listen anywhere around your home-even through outdoor speakers. The SA-5 amplifier is also part of the SoundTouch family.
