First of all, the instructions are particularly clear if you can't bolt it into a stud. Secondly, and more importantly, when installed, the bracket attached to the wall sticks about 1/2" above the top of the speaker. I have no idea why they would design it like that.

works good
Did not care for the idea of drilling new holes in my speakers. So I added 6, #10 washers to one side and did not have to drill holes. A small 5/16 spacer would be nice and simplify the install. Once the speaker were mounted I must say I am very happy with my purchase.

Drill speakers
I bought these mounting brackets and returned to shipper due to having to drill holes in speaker to mount brackets.

Not a perfect fit
Mounted the 201's with these brackets and they installed easily and are strong, but they are slightly above the top of speakers ( about 1/4"). With a small design change these would be hidden and be the perfect mounting brackets. Bose fell short with these.

great fit & looks
The brackets were very easy to install, hung on wall with no problem, and are completely invisable from view.
