It does what the specs say it'll do. I couldn't be happier and it was worth every penny.

...the little piece that really matters, the actual connector that goes into the camera terminal, detached and got lost after a 2nd night of use. You see the cable is not one solid piece from the meter to the camera - it has an attachment, straight to right angle connector, which very easily comes off, and so got lost. That is very annoying, since I have no idea what the right connector is, and will have to buy another whole unit.

I use this for long-exposure astrophotography. Very intuitive controls. Discernable clicks when buttons are pressed. I was able to use all of the functions easily, without reading instructions. I read them anyway, and there was important, helpful information. The unit has no power button. It just shuts off after a short time. Any activity will turn it back on, so I store it with the batteries out. I had it in a pocket with some eyepieces and something must have pushed a couple of buttons at once. When I looked at it, it was on and displaying some odd settings. It easily recovered without having to pull the batteries, which indicates good firmware. The beep function beeps about once a second while it holds the shutter open, which can be annoying for long exposures, so I keep that disabled. I can hear when the shutter opens and closes, so I did not need any more indicators. It is bigger than I expected. It is about 6.5in(160mm) long x 1-5/8in (42mm), 9/16in (15mm) thick. The high-contrast display area is 1-1/16in x just over 5/8in (27mm x 16mm). The timer numbers take up the about top half of the display, easy to read, for me anyway. The amber backlight is even and makes the entire display easy to read at night. The light does not come on until you tell it to. All of the buttons are easy to find in the dark, but I do not know how easy if you are wearing gloves.
