I bought this item in Dec 2020 and I was really happy with it, until last night when the handle to move the head up/down over the horizontal axis broke. It seems the threaded part that does the release-lock of this feature broke inside the plastic enclosure. I was advised to contact the manufacturer, and I will do that today, but I am disappointed. I had an old Slik tripod I got back in 1985 and it is still usable with an acceptable degree of stability and support.

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and construction of this tripod. A lot of bang for the bucks.

Fairly good tripod, but mount adjustment crank broke in less than 1 year of easy use. Sadly, I don't seem to have a receipt on record, so I'm out of luck.

You get what you pay for. Nice tripod. A bit bulky plenty of plastic but considering the price I give it 4 stars.

Seems pretty sturdy. The head moments are what i wanted, although it can't seem to hold a lot of weight

I am a hobbyist. Caveat declared, this strikes me as a good value. The unit feels sturdy and, at first blush, only the "crank arm" to elevate the central post strikes me as "not the sturdiest bit. This is NOT as sturdy as the microphone stands I used to use for music gigs. Based on THAT experience (musician), I wouldn't count on this thing as a professional; it has far too many critical pieces that are plastic (basically, only the legs are aluminium). For the amateur or occassional field user, this is will likely be a good fit. For stationary studio/home use, it's likely a great value for most users. Finally, if you make your living doing photography... well, you'll almost always regret buying cheap tools. You don't always get what you pay for... and you rarely get what you DON'T pay for.

I tape our Sunday services for my church. The old tripod I had bought, at a thrift shop years ago, was built for a very heavy camera, was very heavy, and was falling apart! It seemed like every season of the church something else fell off. This one is much lighter, everything works, and it is so easy to work with. I set it up in the pew in front of me. The legs extend just fine and I can easily set the back leg (against the seat back) to get the levelling bubble in the dome right in the center. I don't need much up and down motion, but it works smoothly and the panning is like butter. I highly reccomend it to everyone.

the one reason why I don't give it five starts is to level it neutral when attaching any device is really hard.

Great tripod very well made and sturdy! The height keeps me from bending to take pictures ??

I was looking for a well built and sturdy tripod and not looking to spend big bucks. I researched tripods from $75.00 down and found this gem! Large load capacity, sturdy locking legs, a locking center post and good pan and tilt head. I would recommend this tripod to anyone looking for that first one or to have one in your car for those impromptu moments.

Not sure if it deserves 2. Maybe 2.5. Time will tell. Athough I knew the head was plasric when i ordered it doesn't instill confidence. The quick release plate loosens from the base of the camera randomly. Also the tilt tension (probably a better term) is supposed to be(but isnt) adjustable so it never locks into place but it never loosens either. The base stability seems ok when I had it up to about 5.5’ Would return it, if I had the box still, to get something a little better.

Really great price for a functional stand that is very easy to use. Much taller than my previous tripod.

I bought this tripod because it's very tall and I need that height to shoot my own headshots and film self-tape auditions. The crank broke off in six months and the rest of it fell apart shortly after. Not an investment piece. Caveat Emptor.

Purchased as a light-duty stand for speed lights. Although I would not want to put an expensive camera on this tripod, it works great for flashes. Quick to set up, minimal footprint, inexpensive. Adding an umbrella strains the mount, but there has been no failure so far.

This was the 2nd Bower VTSL7200 3-Section 72" Tripod that I have purchased because the first one broke. I like that the legs are strong and sturdy. What I don't like are the tiny extremely cheap and fragile pins that hold the cross bars in place. Without realizing that a pin had broken off / fallen off, when I went to open and extend the legs, the one leg snapped right off making that tripod no longer usable. This time I plan on drilling out the cheap fragile pin and putting in my own. That way I am sure I won't have this problem again.

Used this to support my light camera crane. Not quite up to my Manfroto but 1/20th the price.

This is a great heavy duty stand. Well balanced and easy to handle. For the price, it would have been worth it to buy 2.

This tripod is great for a tall person at 72". I looked at numerous tripods and the Bower Tripod was the only one I could find tall enough for me to use. The Bower tripod is very sturdy, well built and very easy to use. It has all the key features one would ever need in a tripod. The price point was also a factor in purchasing this tripod. You can not got wrong with this product.
