Great little mic!

I’m planning to use this with my iphone 8. The sound is only a bit better than the iPhone’s internal mic but it gives you the the flexibility of pointing the mic’s direction and reducing background noise with it’s pickup pattern and windscreen. I like that it is solid metal, has a rycote mount and an audio jack for playback. Got it for a good price in Adorama as well. The con for me is the pouch is kinda small because the furry windscreen fills more than half of it. The windscreen is also kinda attention grabbing. I wish they provided a separate foam windscreen that is not inside the furry. Things to note: Provided cables are about 14” from end to end (12” if only counting the cable) This is a super-cardioid so the pickup pattern is narrower compared to the original by-mm1 Audio jack is for receiving audio from your smartphone only and not for live monitoring You can insert it on a mic clip so you don’t have to use the mount Overall, I’m satisfied with the item.
