Bought this replacement as I seemed to have misplaced the original.  It's a sturdy attachment, but the neck is too thick to allow the mating BlackRapid carabiner on the strap to fit without an intervening key ring (which defeats the strength intended). I don't know what design generation my camera straps or this fastener is, but these things should be backward compatible unless otherwise specified.  The original strap system met my needs, but not so much anymore.

Very nice system.  You can use for either one or two camera body carry.  Comfortable and secure.  Camera and lens hang in a balanced fashion at your belt line.
