This scanner is very pretty, very demure. It doesn't take up much space and can easily be moved from one location to another. doesn't have a catch tray so make sure you have it some place with room for your documents to land.

This scanner has made my life so much easier! It is fast and accurate. It also helps with the organization of files with the ability to set up different folders for your scans to be stored. Overall it is a fantastic machine.

I bought this scanner - ADS-1200 - for a couple of reasons. One was that I wanted to "digitize" a mountain of genealogical research documents to mitigate the ever growing paper storage nightmare my research has created. And second, to likewise scan the growing number of physical photos I have. I find it interesting to note that the marketing literature lists scanning PHOTOS as one of the typical uses for the scanner, yet the Users Manuallists PHOTOS as one of the UNACCEPTABLE Documents. Talk about confusing! Regardless, it does seem to be doing a pretty good job for BOTH tasks, despite the warning about the non-use for scanning pictures. It does it quite well, if you don't try to push too many pictures through the feeder, and that they aren't all bent up. Document pages are quite easy with the auto-feeder more than up to the task. Plus, the automatic double sided scanning is a real bonus. The compact size helps on my otherwise cluttered (and small) desktop. All in all, I think it will turn out to be a great partner in my efforts to declutter my research efforts.

I bought this scanner 1 year ago and in exactly 1 year it stopped scanning properly and is pulling through multiple pages at once. I reported to Brother and they said they can't cover under warranty. I think it is a simple fix maybe one of the rollers or the mechanism that separates the pages. I am very disappointed in the product. I also have a Brother printer and it is slowing down and will not copy as fast it is also only a year or so old. I will not buy a Brother product again!

Very small footprint and excellent price. Really fast scanning and very easy to install and use. Scans two sided and scans photos like a champ. Would definitely recommend this product.

I was looking for a scanner to replace my All-In-One that was taking up too much room on my physical desktop. I recommend downloading the manual as I did BEFORE buying to avoid surprises. I didn't need a wireless WIFI feature since the scanner would be next to my desktop PC. I also don't need portability but the compact size is ideal. I am surprised that it doesn't have more limitations, but aside from a flatbed option, this does everything better and faster than my All-In-One in a very small footprint.. I like that closes up to keep the dust out of the feeder. The scanner software/interface is very versatile and user-friendly. It came with optional software to organize receipts and an OCR but I don't use any of that. I just scan to Acrobat and save in my PC's file structure and backup system. I've been using it for a month and it has performed perfectly.

I bought the ADS-1200 as my business desktop scanner. It was working fine until it started scanning extremely slowly after just a year. I contacted Brother and we tried several things to fix it but they refused to send me a replacement because it was 13 months old. Not within the 1 year warranty window. I'm very disappointed.

I needed a page scanner to digitize too many paper documents. The online reviews and price point convinced me to give this machine a shot. I have been blown away how well this scanner works. Setup was extremely easy and the ability to create saved workflows was an unexpected pleasure. The scanning speed when plugged to AC power in is very fast with no misfeeds. I use the usb power when scanning just a few pages and the scanning speed is acceptable. My one complaint are the paper guides. They have a tendency to fold back on themselves when inserting paper so I end up spending a little more time getting the documents lined up. Overall, I highly recommended this scanner.

worked great the first month. Could put the paper on a press the button and it would scan. Now I have to open the program on the computer and scan using the scan button in the program. Other than that the scans are crisp and clean.

Machine does everything that I expected, except I am not able to delete more than one scanned page at a time. I would also like to be able to rescan and insert a page in between other pages already scanned.

For the money I guess this is an ok purchase. It generally pulls all the pages through to scan but there are times it wants to pull 2 or more pages through. Also the light that comes on when there is an error stays on. One thing is I wish companies would include the book with tech information. Not everyone is tech savy .

Decent multipage scanner, have used the version a step down before so was familiar with these scanners. It handles documents with ease, but struggles with standard form receipts, and occasionally jams with multiple pages
