Bought this scanner to replace the Fujitsu that I been using for 14 years. It has been having trouble picking paper and the drivers haven't updated in years requiring me to have a secondary computer running an old OS to use it. This scanner is well built, produces clear scans, but cannot create a straight image. It's frustrating the amount of time spent feeding each sheet through over and over trying to get a scan that is not crooked with the edge cut off. There are sometimes that no amount of running the document through will result in a usable scan. This is despite the document going through perfectly straight every time. Messing with he anti skew setting does nothing. This is in contrast to the ScanSnap software that the Fujitsu has. You run a document through it at a 45 degree angle and it will come out perfectly straight, right side up with no extra space around it. The other issue I have is for extra long documents, the width is fixed at one of two widths, neither of which ever matches the document I'm scanning resulting in scans with lots of space on either side. I really tried to like this scanner and put in the time to try to get past the issues, but I could not find any way to reliably get good results with this scanner. Unfortunately, I tried too long and now I am past the return period. I guess it's back to Fujitsu. Here's hoping Richo's purchase of Fujitsu's scanner business hasn't ruined them.

The scanner is fine but you need to include the cable needed to make it work. It was hard to find.

I found a few issues with this scanner. You can not save the scan and save as a PDF. It also can not save multiple pages as one file. Each page has to be saved individually.

This is a wonderful machine that does exactly what it is designed to do. The only thing that I would like to have seen is a possible pull out tray in the front to catch papers as they go through. I do realize that there just really is not room for it.

The scanner itself is fine but it does not have the supporting software to enable me to use it for the purpose for which I purchased it. It is basically useless for what I need it to do.

Cool little scanner. It does a great job, but it is easy to not get the papers just right and have it scan crooked. I would also like to find out if I can go straight from my scanner to my printer.

I purchased with a 30 return...I am returning the scanner. I found it time consuming to get it to operate properly, Some times it worked.. some times it just crumpled the receipts I dont have time to play with my food...so I will not play with this scanner I have had other Brother products that perform excently....I hope that this is an exception

This is a petite and powerful scanner, helping me to rid myself of paper files easily. Yes, be careful that the pages aren't stuck together, but it's quick and the software helps a lot in the organization. I am using it on my PC with Microsoft 365.

So far I have not been able to get this scanner set up on my laptop or on my WiFi network. When I try to download the software and drivers on my laptop I keep getting the message that one of the files may be harmful to my computer. When I try to install this on my WiFi network it will not connect. This has been truly disappointing.

Wonderful product. Easy to setup and scans quickly and efficiently. I also purchased the Kofax software and I'm all set. No more bulky files. Nice, clean and organized PDFs.

With the exception of spending an entire week working to get the scanner set up, this product has been great! It makes managing and organizing so easy and the scans are professional quality and very easy to send to a variety of places.

If you limited on room this will work great for you. Very compact but still does all the functions of a full size. I would highly recommend the Brother ADS-1250W scanner, you would be getting a great wireless, color scanner.

Network connection a little tricky, especially when main network is changed and IP assignment gets changed. Once set up, works like a charm. Also easy when using USB.

I am very happy with this scanner. I was a bit concerned due to some negative reviews. I did have a cord and that helped with the installation. Other than that the software add-ons and the scanner have been amazing! I use it daily and haven't had any issues. I would recommend.

If you are on the go like I am and need to copy a bunch of documents or just a few, this is the scanner you cannot do without. It's portable and efficient. Scan a few the battery power will be there, scan a whole lot plug it in and you can scan the whole day, its just an exaggeration but you can. Another feature which I like is the duplex capability. It can do all that in one pass! And by the way did I mention the speed? You will love the ADS-1250W.

I'd rate this 5 stars if it didn't have so many problems. When it works, it works great. I've bought three of these and each one has its own unique stubbornness, mostly during setup. I expect much more out of a company like Brother. They need to return to a simpler setup process. Oh, they THINK they've simplified it, but all they've done is make it quirky and unable to work with may setups. For instance, if your computer runs on 5G Wifi, it complicates things because this scanner only runs on 2.4. But also, there are dummy buttons on the scanner to try to control it, not anything that makes any sense or has any actual use. The documentation is poor, with at least five pages of safety information and only a page of directions for setup and use. Access to manufacturer tech support is very limited. You can do better than this, Brother, and you should!

I spent 6 hours on my computer trying the download the required BR software but their website never allowed me to do so. I spent 2 hours with one of their Tech experts one the phone with me, and he was unable to help me either. I am a very experienced computer user and have a iMac and MacBook Pro computers. I sent back this scanner and got an Epson scanner instead. It took me 10 minutes to download all drivers and software needed and scan 4 documents with this Epson unit from the moment I took it out of the box!

I had to scan literally hundreds of family photos, and this machine made it a breeze. Just wish it had a tray to catch them all as they came out of the scanner.

The scanner is first rate. My only critique is that Brother should figure out how to add a tray that will catch scanned pages as they are scanned. Something that will pull out of the bottom makes sense.

Works pretty good in on the go environment. I'm definitely glad I brought it. The only problem is it will grab multiple papers at once but like I said I don't use it at my desk, it's for on the go job and saves time from running back to office all the time.

I purchased this scanner over a year ago for my business. After several months, ordered a second one. The main reasons I picked this scanner: ability to scan both sides, in color, and is wireless. There are many options for scanning the quality & type you want - and very easy to change all the scan options on your screen. It's easy to setup multiple specific workflow settings (1 sided, pdf black & white; 2 sided color, pdf or jpeg, etc. to quickly change types of common scan jobs. Can scan multiple pages quickly, usually use 300 dpi. You can view all the pages on the screen, can rotate images, add or delete pages before naming & saving. I purchased an external hard drive to save all my scanned images of receipts, etc. so the small drive can be stored later for reference without worrying about the storage space on the computer.
