Perfect for my Nikon 200-500mm lens. Really makes it easy to carry without tiring, but still ready to go in a flash. Recommended.

I wear a lot of optics around my neck and shoulders and after a day of birding and shooting, I'm usually needing a serious massage! I recently bought the BlackRapid RS-Sport Extreme Sport Strap with FastenR3 and ConnectR-2 and the Joey 1 pocket for camera cards. I really like this sling. I need to tweak my straps a little to prevent my camera from hanging too low, but it is amazing how light this heavy camera feels when it's on the sling, as opposed to hanging around my neck. I use a harness for my binocs and the sling for the camera and I feel as if my load has been lightened considerably!

I don't use this all the time, but it's nice to have. When I do use it it's when I'm out with one lens and don't bring my sling bag. The connection doesn't fit my tripod plate, but when I have this I won't need a tripod anyway.

I just used this when I went to Grandfather Mountain in NC to take photos. I used the Sony a7ii with the Sigma MC-11 and Sigma 24mm 1.4 and this made shooting a breeze. I didn't feel like the camera would come loose or anything. Excellent product. I would highly recommend.

Always used the OEM strap that came with the camera. They were too short and uncomfortable to use, either around neck or sliding off my shoulder. Saw some recommendations on the Black rapid RS-Extreme Sport Strap and decided to buy one. great purchase, comfortable and extremely convenient to use. Will most likely purchase a second strap for my other camera or may try the Blackrapid wrist strap. highly recommend.

I bought this strap after getting a 150-600 zoom for my Nikon DSLR. it does the job for day hiking or just walking around town.

This stuff is worth the money. Think of it as purchasing insurance you can use everyday. It's built like much of my military issued gear and it looks like it belongs on the camera. 4 hours on the field with this strap, no pain; 4 hours with the canon strap, ready for surgery.

I just got my second one, because I liked the first one so much. Now I have one for each camera bag so i don't forget to grab it if I switch cameras.

Nicest and sturdiest shoulder strap I could find. A friend of mine just dropped his camera using a less expensive alternative to this product, so I wanted to make sure that didn't happen to me. This one seems like it will do the job.

I am new to the Black Rapid. I have only used it with my 55 - 300, not my 150 - 500, I don't know why they ask for comments when you've had so little experience. But I can say that it is an improvement over my neck strap.

I bought this strap because I'm a wedding photographer and I tend to shoot two cameras almost simultaneously. This stop is securely anchored on my camera and allows my second camera to feast at my hip. My camera and lens are heavy and this strap is an extra precaution to make sure I don't drop my camera. It's a good investment..

I recently purchased my Canon 70D and went on a spring break trip and used the strap that came with the camera and it was miserable walking around about 12-16 miles a day. As a result I started to research better straps and found this one. I am extremely happy with the comfort that this strap offers. The price is tough to swallow but it's worth it.

Great product, but there's two minor concerns. When you pull the camera up to shoot, the shoulder pad tends to slip off because there's no weight to hold it in place. The solution I came up with is to attach the strap to my belt loop with a carabiner so it keeps tension on the shoulder pad. The other matter is difficulty holding the camera to shoot vertical because the tripod socket has a connector and strap attached to it. All in all, it's wonderful, and I'd never go back to a neck strap.

I used this strap when I'll be carrying my camera around all day or especially with my zoom 70-200 lens. It doesn't put a lot of strain on your shoulder. But it is bulky if you take it off and hold the camera in your hand like when I go into a restaurant and didn't want to look like a dork with the strap around me. But other than that. This is a good strong strap.

Takes the pressure off your shoulder. Feels secure and not like it could slip off the shoulder. Looks good and when you are in shooting position the strap is out of your way. The only issue is I think the price is a little high but this is the best strap I have owned.

I love this strap, its the first strap that i have had that allows me to comfortably carry my camera everywhere, it holds it at a safe place near my thigh and doesn't let it swing forward unless i want. The one and only flaw is that the strap attaches at the bottom of the camera, which holds the strap in a great position, but when you try to put your camera down on a table etc, the connectors jut down, probably not a big deal if you have a battery grip, cus you have two flat sides, not a big deal anyways just be careful not to scratch your furniture.

I use it when traveling for security. Very comfortable, very adjustable. Folds very compact and fits in my bag. Easy to detach from camera. I use with camdapter arca style plate and hand strap. Very durable material.

I had an issue with the strap slipping after desired adjustment resulting in my camera hanging too low. I contacted Black Rapid only to notify them and they said they were aware and had this issue fixed with revised straps then sent me a replacement. After receieving my replacement in the mail, I noticed the box is a updated compared to my first pair which I believe is the indicator in knowing which is the revised version from the one that has the slipping issue. I compared the 2 straps and noticed the adjuster (ladder lock) located on the back of strap is replaced with a new lock that won't cause the camera to slip. Now I'm satisfied with my replacement and have no slipping issues.

I use it for walking on the beach. It provides a perfect thumb hook for your right thumb, and perfect length for your hand and arm to relax while walking. And your hand is already in position for a quick draw. The fit and comfort are excellent. The price is outrageous. But I love it anyway. And it is the last strap I'll ever need.

I love the design and materials but the construction to adjust the length of the strap isn't what you would call great...it's terrible to be honest. Whenever I have my camera attached and hanging just where I want it which is a little bit below my hip, a few seconds later, the length adjuster would slip and my camera would be hanging so low just right above my knee. This is due to the poor design of the adjuster located on the back of the shoulder pad. I was thinking to puncture a pin through the parallel straps located on the back to avoid it from slipping but that would only damage the material so I never did that considering how expensive the strap is. Then what I would do is after adjusting the length of the strap, I would take the excess strap, fold it upwards, have the top fold inserted into the adjuster and the bottom fold inserted into the tail of the webbing and secure it with the keeper. This method would work but it would only secure the adjusted length for so long, I would find my camera hanging again so low just right above my knee. Since I noticed a small loop right above the R logo located on the from of the strap and never really knew what the loop was for, I figured releasing the folded access strap that was secured by the adjuster, the tail of the webbing and the keeper, release the tail of the webbing from the parallel strap and hook the tail of the webbing to the loop located on the front of the padding just above the R logo. After do this, I noticed that my camera hangs just where I want it with zero slippage and became the solution to my problem. The only thing is you cannot modify the length of the strap from this method but since I stand 5'8", the length of the strap is adjusted and fixed just where I want my camera to hang...just a little bit below my hip. So if you stand 5'8" like me or a little taller, this method will work for you or you can simply buy a different strap. Black Rapid should revise the adjuster that's located on the back of all their straps to stop it from slippage because those who stand shorter than 5'8" need the adjustment.

I purchased this strap anticipating carrying my Nikon D 7K while riding my bike. It works as advertised. Locking the camera in place so it stays at my side and does not bounce of the tank of my motor cycle. The locking ring inspires confidence, and the underarm strap assures it will not move. It takes the weight of the D 7K with vertical grip off my neck, so it's really very comfortable. Con: As it mounts to the base of the vertical grip, it's a little distracting when shooting vertical images. However, I can get use to that when considering how handy it is when carrying the camera/grip combination.

Got this to use with my D-7000 and grip. Fortunately I have two D-7000. As it screws into the tri-pod base, the BR is in the way when using the grip vertically. My bad. The strap is all you expect it to be.

I was surprised how nice the strap was when I started using it. Keeps my camera right at a great position to grab with one hand and raise it up for shooting. The shoulder pad can slid a little if you move around a lot while holding the camera up and don't have any weight that helps pull it against your shoulder. That's easy to over look since I really like how well it performs overall.

I use the BlackRapid RS-Sport Extreme Strap for almost all of my shooting. The strap isn't as thick or bulky as the original RS-4. The underarm strap makes the Sport Extreme much more secure around the shoulder. With the RS-4, the strap would fall off my shoulder after raising the camera a few times in portrait orientation. That doesn't happen with the RS-Sport Extreme. After getting the RS-Sport strap, I was so impressed by the difference the underarm support made that I bought the BlackRapid Brad Camera Strap Underarm Stabilizer for my RS-4. It does make a big difference.

From what I see so far, this is what I have needed for a long time. I have neck problems and the weight of a camera and zoom lens gives me an ache big time with a normal strap. This puts the weight on the shoulder which is much more tolerable. Also, as the camera can easily be bought up to shooting mode while on the strap, there is much more security from dropping the camera. I love it so far. The only negative is that if I use my tripod, I have to go back to a strap as with my tripod the quick release doesn't allow for their connector. This is a problem. Otherwise I would give it a 5 star rating.

This strap is about comfort and protecting the camera. Be sure to get an extra extra FastenR-3 or 2 . . . for other lenses.

I have had BR Straps for some years now and I wouldn't change them for anything. This is the 6th strap I have and I just love them. Specially my double strap every wedding I do.

I was a little hesitant about dropping the cash on this strap, but it was an awesome purchase! I use it to support my back-up D300 with a prime and I don't even know it's there! Great product! The under arm strap was a bit much for my liking, but it is removable!

I Love This Strap

I don't like camera straps hanging around my neck, I could never find one that didn't make me feel like I was being hung. This strap is comfortable. It gets the weight off your neck and distributes it along your shoulder and the top of your back. The design allows you to position the camera quickly out of the way and securely if you want to walk or hike. It also works great if you have one camera on a monopod and need a second body at your hip ready to be pulled up shoot and then back to ...

The BlackRapid RS-Sport Extreme Sport Strap is designed to hold and keep an SLR camera and lens steady in strenuous shooting situations. Slide the camera up the strap to grab that perfect shot. The strap has an under arm safety tether that keeps the camera secure. It includes a Cr-2 connector-2, FR-3 fastener-3 and a BRAD MOD that secures the camera to the strap.
