The HL-2270DW is a fine printer for home use. It is older and the wireless does not work, with newer wireless routers. It prints quick and clear.

Customer support was amazing. The woman who assisted me with connecting my Brother printer to a new router and internet provider was the most patient person I have ever encountered.

Good economical laser printer that meets all my needs. Because it is an older model the speed of printing is not as fast as newer models. After many years it still meets my needs.

When ink-jet printing is not an option, the HL-2270DW does a great job. I purchased this printer many years ago and it is top notch for my needs. I have top int certification cards on plastic card stock and this printer makes it easy. It is easy to set up the printing tray for various jobs and if there ever is a jam or malfunction, which is mostly operator error, you can clear it quickly

I have had this workman-like and VERY dependable printer since 2016. This was my first laser printer, and a second hand purchase, just to try the technology. Next step will be a color printer but not until this baby drops its last page. Who knows, it might just last longer than me!

This printer is fantastic. Very lightweight and excellent print quality and performance. Love it because it's wireless and is laser. Laser cartridge lasts a long time not like the inkjet printers. Would highly recommend this printer.

The HL-2270DW is extermely functional for my needs and has been a real work horse for me for years. Customer service help is a little more challenging with trying to resolve a new issues that has surfaced. Youtube and Brother videos help to a point but does not resolve my issues with the printer. If I can ever talk to a live customer service rep I believe it will or can be an easy fix. Getting caught up with the continuous loop of none human interaction can be frustrating.

This printer is used daily, printing thousands of pages. I find that it is rather slow to respond, but prints well. I wish it would notify with a beep when out of paper...

This is a solid utility B/W printer, but it shares a design flaw with some other Brother products, viz., the dreaded "No Paper" error that signals that you have broken a small, fragile plastic part that detects that the paper tray has been inserted. This has happened on two of my Brother products (the 2270 and an all-in-one printer/scanner/copier). It's fixable, but requires ordering a replacement part and viewing user YouTube videos to learn how to disassemble the printer.

I actually inherited the HL-2270DW printer and it worked well for several years for my sister and has performed well for me for the past two years. The wireless feature is a must for me, but I haven't tried the duplex feature. I also have a Brother inkjet printer that connects to my iPhone, but I haven't been able to get the phone to list both my printers and give me an option to print from the two. I don't know if that's an Apple issue or an issue with the Brother software or hardware. That requires me to print from my computer only if I want to use the HL-2270DW. That's the only inconvenience I have encountered and I'm not at all sure the issue is with the Brother software/hardware or the Apple iPhone. Overall I am very pleased with it.

This is a well-designed unit that has served quite well over the years. I was able to take it apart and fix a little problem with a paper jam with no tools except a screwdriver, which was nice. Now it runs like new and I am expecting many more years of service.

We have two of these printers in use at the office, so I bought one for home since the price was good. In use at home, it was very fast for a large number of single sided prints for a recent mailing. When I later did two-sided printing its speed was only acceptable. Also, use of 3 hole punched paper causes the paper to jam, so one must punch the pages after printing. A paper jam can require opening the back side, and at home this requires taking it off of the shelf. That is not an issue at the office,where it is on a desk. It is a great printer, with these few caveats.

I owned this machine for 4 years. When it malfunctioned, I was able to locate a factory fresh version of the same printer. It works very well and uses ink very sparingly. Good value.

Pretty good starter laser printer. Starts up a little noisy. Prints great and duplex mode saved me a lot of time. This model was recommended by a person who has been using Brother printers.

Bought to print community newsletter. Works ok but cannot connect to network without upgrading OS which I do not want to do. Power switch poorly located, stick on error sheet very small and cheap. Toner too expensive. This is refurbished. Does a good print job but I always forget to turn off because the on light is poorly placed and extremely small. Very, very fast.

I've owned this printer for over a year and a prior printer in the same series (2070xx) for over 5 years before that. I finally replaced the prior printer when it indicated it needed a new drum after going through about 4 replacement toner cartridges and many thousands of pages of paper. The new printer appears to be working just as well.

I use it for home personal use; therefore, it does not get a whole lot of use. But I like the set-up of the printer and it has performed flawlessly so far. Brother customer service helped me connect it, which I appreciated greatly.

I needed a printer that would be lower cost to run than my portrait quality inkjet printer, and this fills the requirements. I use my graphic skills to create lots of flyers, brochures, announcements, labels, and newsletters for my genealogy club and my computer club, and it has served me well.
