When panning the monitor, two separate mechanisms give you added shooting confidence. An alignment ball clicks into place when the Monitor Hinge is exactly level, whilst a safety stop on the side allows you to comfortably fold the monitor for transport without risk of damaging the monitor.

Compatibility
The Monitor Hinge Kit is designed for the Sony FX6, combining the 8T Folding NATO Rail and Universal Monitor Hinge. The NATO Rail mounts to either the front or rear Sony 8T points on the stock FX6 Top Handle; or 1/4" threads on a standard rig. For a secure mount, we recommend bracing the setup with our Sony FX6 Top Handle Brace.

The Hinge mounts to any standard NATO rail and can be used with ARRI and SmallHD monitor standards with compatible locating pins. However, Atomos monitors - with their screw threads only being on the bottom of the monitor - are not compatible (unless using the monitor vertically).


- Sony FX6 8T Folding NATO Rail -
This Sony FX6 8T Folding NATO Rail mounts to Sony 8T points, and adds a folding NATO rail that can be used with clamps and other accessories. The pivoting extension rotates 360-degrees for a wide range of articulation for the monitor. The mounting rail also provides a 15mm rod clamp.

Flexible Monitor Placement
The extension rail mounts to the 15mm rod clamp, allowing it to pivot 360-degrees. This adds extra height and reach, while being able to be folded flat when not in use. The removable orange threaded cap prevents the rail from falling out, while a removable stud on the rail provides a safety stop for attached accessories.

Alternatively, the extension rail can be replaced with an industry-standard 15mm rod for further rigging options. Combined, all of the options create a versatile foundation for customizing your Sony FX6 rig.

The mounting rail provides a threaded point to attach B4004.1009 - Sony FX6 Top Handle Brace to anchor it to B4004.1018 - Sony FX6 Top Plate. Add the B4003.1025 Rotating 15mm Bar to create a flexible monitor mount.

Secure Monitor Mounting
Whether you're using a dedicated camera monitor like those that come with the Fujifilm GFX ETERNA or a third-party monitor from SmallHD, the Universal Monitor Hinge is ready for you. It comes with locating pins for SmallHD and ARRI standard monitor mounting, which can be easily removed when not in use and stored in the Hinge itself. The 1/4" mounting screw is also captive, to avoid you losing it when removing your monitor.
