Excellent B&W laser printer, copier & scanner with auto document feeder and useful LCD menu. I chose this one over others such as from HP, Canon, Epson. etc. because of reliability of Brother products, small size and reasonable cost for toner cartridges.

Do like the machine but set up was just a nightmare. Took hours getting things downloaded and finally working. I would avoid this next time.

Nice machine but no longer able to send scanned documents to my MacBook as a pdf, a functionality that was available on older models. I really wish that Brother got around to being way more user-friendly with its software.

The printer works fine. I only wished it would print a fax conformation page to indicate the fax went through. This is my only issue so far.

Copies and prints faster than my older Brother Copier. It's also a little smaller and lighter. Glad that I checked the reviews of others who bought this.

Pros: Easy set up. No problem connecting to network. Practically plug & play. Small footprint Quick recognition from computer or mobile devices to printer when pressing print. Fast printing speed Excellent black & white page quality Cons: Doesn't scan or copy double sided. I guess wasn't designed to but sales person told me it did. Disappointed, but my fault for not researching more closely. Other: I've only been using this for a short time but unable to figure out the separate front single page feed. Isn't recognized when I place a document into it and the rollers grab it. Need to figure out how to reset the print dialog to print 1 side not 2 all prints forward.

I would much prefer having been able to keep my MFC 7220 that worked unerringly for a decade, but is as I ride sitting curbside waiting for someone wanting a good quality reliable machine to use with Linux or Windows 10. This is thanks to Brother and Microsoft being unwilling to work with one another to preserve the drivers that Windows 11 will not install without breaking your machine (Yes, I tried, that happened.) So now I have a refurbished , more incertain quality review, louder MFC with fewer features, a more complicated and unnecessary UI. The only advantage I see is wireless connectivity.

Brother MFCL2820DW - Home MFC - This a good, basic home system. We had a Brother that was 10+ years old. We changed our router and the old was mated well. We figured it was time to replace it since it was probably not going age well any further.

Horrible service I put warranty on a printer it's been more than a month and still no replacement one. I call a they apologized and say they will expedite one and still nothing . Never buy warranty and never buy brothers again

My recent purchase of MFC-L2820DW is doing fine, no problems. However I would not have needed top buy the MFC-L2820DW if my initial Brother 3 in One printer on/off button had not broken. It was unusable so I had it repaired for $150 and it is on the shelf for a back up.

Horrible customer service. Called many times about not being able to send faxes but can receive them. Support did not know how to fix the problem. Spent hours on the phone with them without a fix. .Keeps disconnecting from the computer. Our old printer never did that and was in the same location as the Brother printer.

Excellent printer/scanner/copier for home use at a great price. I'm a retired technician from Information Technology for a hospital, and needed to replace our HP printer with one that had all the same features, but was a step or two above it. I did a search on all the features the HP had, and the first one that appeared was the Brother MFCL2820DW. It had everything I wanted, including wireless connectivity and Brother quality at a great price. Installation was fast and easy. I highly recommend it!

I'm pleased with the features of this printer, except for the fact that it doesn't support duplex (printing on both sides of a sheet) when using the copy function. It does support it when printing a file from my PC.

I love this multifunction laser. It is quiet and quick printing. The scanning and copying are real conveniences. It was intuitive to setup and learn the functions. The only "problem" was getting used to a different way of doing actions. I was getting very disillusioned with my HP printer and it finally literally burned up.

Got this model a couple months ago to replace my old Brother printer that was wearing out. I really like this new all in one duplex. The print quality is excellent, and so easy to use for printing, copying and scanning. Step up took only a couple minutes and was super easy to do. Easy to print from the Brother app on my phone or from my PC.

Mostly I love the printer. However, the software connection has become increasingly unstable, creating many printer errors which freezes up the access to printing and requires many reboots of both computer and printer to clear the problem print job from the print queue. Were it not for that, it would be perfect!

Tired of being bullied by HP for years about ink usage on my ink jet printer, when it dried up I went back to my 16 yo HP laser printer that still worked fine!! Unfortunately it wasn't wifi, when I tried to make it work wifi...I did something! And it won't connect any more. My bad, and dang you Reddit. So I bit the bullet and shopped for ABHP...and chose Brother. This printer is a workhorse, duplex, scans etc etc...bought an extra cartridge so I'm set for years. If I need color I'll go to Walmart or phone a friend. So happy that I bought another one for my second home. Yes it could have better directions to connect to my network but got it done and happy to have a reliable printer that will work for years.
