The setup was way more difficult than it should have been. Then the tech guy decided that I had taken too long and hung up. Now I have to call back to try again. Not a happy camper.. Why was the print feature working and the scan was not, message said wifi was not connected and yet it would print wirelessly.

This is a great printer with great speed. Colour and black and wife are both great quality. Scanning and faxing can be a bit slow but pretty good for an all in one. Comes with Paperport scanning software ? excellent and easy to use. Biggest drawback, to do two-sided printing, you have to manually take the paper and turn it around and then print the other side. Automatic duplex printing is not possible, although they say it is ? it always jams ? 109%.

I have owned 4 brother printers, and each one has been better than the one before. My MC940 was my favorite. I used it everyday, it it never let me down. Recently, the age and amount of use required me to get a new printer. I went into my local Staples to purchase a new one, and the one I wanted was out of stock. I was basically talked into purchasing another brand. That was a big mistake! It was no match for my Brother printer. I returned it, purchased another Brother, and learned my lesson. I am committed to Brother products for life!

I had this printer for 2 years, it was used occasionally, I was still on the starter toner. Just one day it shut off and I can't turn it back on. I called support, they couldn't do anything. I was send to local repair shop which told me i might have to replace the Low Voltage Power Supply which cost around 200 for labor and part. I expected more from Brother printer which I used exclusively. Will have to consider different brand when I shop for replacement this time.

I have had this unit in my home office for a couple of years, and maybe print an average of about 20 documents a month, so I am not a heavy user. It does not print a crisp document, but has horizontal gray banding in the background over the whole page. Daily I have to shut it down, turn off my router, and reverse order for my wireless computer to find it, or to scan. It did that function fine while it was in warranty, of course. I've spent hours with tech support (including the long wait and it does not get fixed. They say take it to a certified repair person and that person has charged me twice a hefty amount to say he looked at it and could not find anything wrong, even though I brought in evidence of the problem.

I've owned this printer for over 4 years. I decided to spend a little more on this multi-function printer to gain better quality. I scan a lot and print quite a bit for my business. The printer scans great, prints great and is always reliable. The set up is fairly easy as I've had to do this a couple times due to moves. I can also print from my iphone using wifi and it works like a charm. One of the best I've ever had!! I purchase the printer cartridges directly from brother and most of the time get a better price. Great product.

The machine was only occasionally used. It was working fine but stopped working all of a sudden. Electrical connection was lost and it does not start upon unplugging and replugging again.

The challenge is scanning or faxing multiple documents. Often the documents will get crunched or it will skip over a page. This happens even with brand new paper.

I had / have a Oki Color Printer and it was close to the same age. If was just a color printer not multifunction. I decided for the price of toner to grab this one on 02/02/2015. The Oki was a great printer but so it this one. I have a small business so I do print a fair amount but the scanner is what is really helpful and saves paper. I know I have run several cases of paper and have replaced several cartrages over the years. I do not think I have had to replace any fusers or belts or any thing other than cartrages. I say do not think because I seem to recall that being the older OKI. I think the OKI was a little faster and of higher print quality but but compared to an Ink Jet type printer both are exceptionally good and hard to complain about. I do not know the cost per sheetcomparison but on my scale it would be minor as OKI says their upfront cost is recovered in operating cost. I do have this printer connected via Cat 5 to my router but I also have the wifi enabled so others on the network can also print. Set was easy, did not need an IT guy to set up either. It rarely jams, I can not even count the Jams on one hand over 5 years. If anything, I neglect the machine because it does not require much attention.

I see a lot of negative reviews, and I can't say that I've had the same experience. I had a Canon before this, and HP before that. Canon blue screened on me, and the HP would never stay connected to the network. This guy I have wired in and it was bought because it offered gigbit ethernet. It's always able to scan/print, spools up fast enough that it's done by the time I get downstairs. I don't print a lot and I've yet to exhaust the toner after two years. I don't understand how people are complaining about Brother when this is the best you're going to get.Buy an HP and tell me how you feel about their support

I bought this printer because I hoped to spend less money using a toner. This has not been the result. I constantly purchase over-priced toner cartridges it seems as often as I purchased ink for my inkjet. This printer is slow! Also, it cannot feed from the paper tray anything thicker than a regular piece of printer paper. I have tried card stock and labels. Then you must use the manual feed option. This always takes 5 tries and of those 5 tries, 2 papers get half printed and stuck, requiring me to take out all of the (5 toner cartridges to remove the now ruined piece of paper. I have only had this a year and constantly get notifications that it needs a new drum! Already?! I hate this printer. It is the albatross to my work day! I wish I could return it and get my money back.

You can't print on cardstock or heavier labels. It's very disappointing. Other than that it's been a good printer and I enjoy it. I want to be able to print on waterproof laser labels but at 79# (8.8 mil) it's too thick. Really bummed.

The printer worked fine for about a year. I then began having issues with the toner cartridge, black to be exact. Brother sent me a refurbished printer but now that one has the same issue. Overall the product is priced well and features are more than adequate, but it takes too much time dealing with these issues.

Loved this printer while it worked. Then the printer began having error messages about cleaning the drum (running the green tab back and forth on each printer cartridge. Doing so didn't correct the problem so I bought new drum holders and unit. Still didn't work. Brother support told me to take it to a repair shop but its 2 hours away and an awfully heavy machine to load in a car. So, decided to replace it at my cost with a new one, same model. We'll see!

Yes, the black print is okay, (not great) but I have constantly had problems with the ink cartridges. Now, I am getting a blue line along the side of the page. (I print a lot because I teach.) Nothing looks out of order and there isn't excessive ink in the cartridge area, it's just one of many issues I've had. Also, they had to replace my whole printer (less than a year old) with a refurbished model because they couldn't fix the first version of the problem.

Love this printer. We had the 9330 and needed another one for another office in the same building. LOVE the 9340. Direct print from cell phones, network, scan, and of course, printing. Not the fastest printer, however great quality invoices for our small business.

My husband and I have absolutely LOVED this printer since day 1. We haven't had any issues with this printer. As a matter of fact, we have had this printer now over a year and we haven't had to change any cartridges YET. Granted we don't print every day, but we do print every week and in color. I printed several photos with this printer onto regular paper and high gloss paper and placed them in pictures frames. nobody can tell that they aren't photos from a somewhere else. To sum it up, it's been great. Best investment in a printer we've made. Front and back printing plus a document feeder for scanning and copying? We haven't even used the fax machine, because frankly, who's faxing these days? Anyway, LOVE IT. You won't be sorry

I have had toner leak all over, now it is bleeding yellow again over all my pages and the toner isn't leaking inside the printer, just spewing the toner onto the paper! It is less than 1 year.
