Scan feed stop working after a time.

Your printers work well, do not jam but for some unknown reason, the scan feed will stop working. This is the third printer that I had to purchase due to the fact that the scan feed stop working or if it does work, pulls through two and three pages at the same time. I spent hours on the phone trying to correct the problem but without any success.

MFC-L5800DW PRINTER/LASER

We have owned all in one Brother laser printers for sometime now. Always been very reliable for us as a small business owner. However, our recent purchase has encountered scanning issues which where deemed unsolvable. Quite the inconvenience for us, having said that, Brother has stepped up to the plate and is replacing the unit for us. Fingers crossed the replacement gives us another set of great years of operation. Certainly will continue to support Brother products. Overall the unit has taken care of all our needs.

Broke after 16 months

The printer worked great while it was functioning and was used as an accessory printer with low usage. Unfortunately, the printer became stopped working after about 1,000 prints which is extremely low for a printer of this type. I have a old HP printer that has outlasted this machine, geez. Anyways, it had a 1 year warranty but because it was a few months past, Brother would not return or provide some type of rebate. Lastly, Brother reviewed my review and would not post unless I made some changes. What a sham

What I think about my L5800

There's only one printer is sufficient for small scanning jobs or for large bulk printing. It has a decent scanner and it comes with a fax option.

Good printer BUT it caused my electrical breaker

The printer worked very well. But once a week, when I click to scan a document, the electrical breaker connecting to the electrical outlet switched off in another closed office. I put the printer another electrical outlet and a week later, the electrical breaker switched off again. I put the printer on a high voltage surge protector. A week later, the electrical breaker switched off. I took the printer back but could not get a replacement.

Only one minor complaint

I am enjoying the use of the product, and my only complaint is that when I scan documents, they often don't appear totally straight, i.e., they are the slightest bit off center/crooked. When I try to scan the same documents a second time, the problem often still exists.

Great printer

Best printer scanner yet. The only thing I don't like id 2 sided copying-it doesn't unless you scan one side at a time. This is probably my fault, I should of ordered one a step up. But this thing is fast and really scans and copies well. I am a teacher so the scanner comes in real handy with remote learning. Uploads to computer and allows me to edit and post easily. Well worth the investment.

great Unit much better than an HP Color 4&1

Great Unit much better than an HP Color 4&1, their ink 2pack black and one each of color 3 in total color a total is the same price as buying a new one. After running out of color I took the machine back to COSTCO and with the support of the staff at COSTCO got my money back. HOWEVER, I WISH TO THIS DAY that I bought the Brother COLOR!!!!

very fast printer

I really like the brother that I have. It is very quick and it prints on both sides which saves me time. The only thing that is not good is I have to stand to make copies, fax or scans. Which is probably a good thing in the long run.

Works Great Captures Big Images

Printer works great and the scanner captures even the edges of documents, which is something other printers (including previous Brother printers do not. Only problem was that the pre-installed toner leaked immediately and I had to clean the entire machine right out of the box. The replacement toner cartridge works great, though. I thought Brother should have provided some accommodation for that defect but they only replaced the cartridge and I was left with the tedious chore of cleaning the entire machine.
