Terrible device - do not buy
The screen is so deem that you cannot read it. The instructions are complicated and hard to see

Could not get item operational
Never could get this to work with batteries (and it didn't come with an adaptor). Tried several things with customer support but all were unsuccessful. Returned the item.

excellent home label maker
Excellent Label maker it make your files stand out I use it for making labels for outdoorsmand extention cords and power cords other things only bad this no power cords for it for the price is excellent and easy set up it takes 6 aaa battery

Great product, even better Company.
This company is great. I bought a label maker that just quit working the second time I tried to use it. I contacted Brother and they gave me tasks to reset it and when they didn't work they replaced it for me. My new one works great and I love it.

Quality! That's the word that comes to mind when I think of Brother products, and this one doesn't disappoint. I feel that if I purchase a product I should expect that the company has done its due diligence that the product is well made, uses the software that does the job, is user friendly (meaning that the software is intuitive), and produces a product that does what it says it will do. Brother does not disappoint. I am thrilled with this product. I wasn't expecting the quality and user friendliness. Thank you, Brother!

No cord included. Wish I'd known before I bought
Very disappointed to pull it out of the box and find there's no power cord included, but there's an place to attach one to the machine. There is reference to a cord in the included instructions, but no cord exists. The instructions also say no batteries included, but NO WHERE does it say NO CORD INCLUDED, and you have to pay extra to actually use the machine. Seriously? Who sells a product without a cord?? Now I have to go out and buy batteries, which creates waste. That is a lousy rip-off. Include a cord and charge what that costs to include. Or make it clear on the package that we have to buy the cord at the same time (hopefully the retailer sells them) so we have a working product to use at a client.

The DISPLAY is AWFUL. Can't Read it. NO adjustment
The DISPLAY is so light, it is USELESS. There is NO Adjustment.
I have an older BROTHER P Touch. It is much better and has NO Backlight.
I am Returning this PT-D220 as it is UN-Usable.
The Tape adjustment does NOT work.
You WASTE LOTS of Tape at the Beginning and end of the Labels.
The Directions are very difficult to follow and are printed on a very LARGE folding piece of paper.
I do NOT recommend this Labeler. My old Brother Labeler is much better.
The only reason I bought this one was for the EZ separating Tape. That part is Great.
The Specifications say it has (5) Font SIZES, It ONLY has (3)
Brother Tech Support is USELESS and OVERSEAS.

great little printer
Love the device but the instructions leave a lot to be desired. Instructions fold out to a great big sheet with very tiny type. Makes it very difficult to find the instruction you need. Love all that the printer can do once you can figure out how to do each thing. This is our third or fourth version of the printer. ONLY complaint is the instructions get worse each version instead of better.

Easy to use, but wastes tape
I just received this label maker through Amazon and it was very intuitive to set up and use. Seems like a well-designed unit. My only gripe is that no matter how you set the margins, the labels always come out with one inch of blank tape that you end up cutting off and discarding. Very wasteful and that part of the design forces me to give a 3-star rating.

Brother p-touch
Flawlessly in every respect. Yes, including battery life. I learned how to use that built-in tape separator thing on the unit and it actually works quite well. It's quick and easy to use. I now have three colors of label tape and you can switch cartridges so easily you won't believe it. It's so quick and simple to pull one out and just stick another one in there. No threading the tape through rollers or anything like that. No loss of tape whatsoever, no loose ends of tape dangling out of cartridges. Just a very neat and clean system. Excellent design. I really cannot say enough good about this little machine.

Why would you sell me a product with no ac cord to plug the product in? It says SUGGESTED 6 AAA batteries but it should say requires 6AAAbatteries not included, and AC ADAPTER NOT INCLUDED. if I would of known there was no ac adapter I would of got batteries.

Easy to use!!
I love this label marker!! It's so easy to use. The half inch size is great for labeling files or school notes. It's so much fun to find new uses for this! I used it over the summer to label my son's stuff when he went to camp. I'll probably get another one to do larger labels too one day for my pantry!

Useful and fun
I can remember using these even as a kid and always wanted one. Brother has always been a trusted product and this version is so easy to use. We printed labels for all of our boxes and totes in storage and the quality of the label and the fact they adhere securely makes it a great product to have on hand.
I have also labeled our herbs and plants both on their jars and on wooden stakes.

Everyone needs a label maker!
This is such a simple yet effective machine that I didn't know I was missing out on my entire adult life! I use this for everything, and I love the different features such as icons, fonts, and the full QWERTY keyboard. As my mom says: EVERYONE needs a label maker!

I have the worst handwriting, so I use a label maker whenever I need to make files. The Brother P-Touch D220 is by far the best one I have ever owned. It has so many different options that it is much more than just a standard label maker. You can choose from four different label widths. You can also get different color label tapes. Honestly, the quality of the labels printed is fantastic. The color does not fade, and the adhesive is strong. They can stick to pretty much anything. There are also so many fonts, frames, symbols, and templates to choose from, making it fun for even my kids to use.

Very helpful in labeling cords
This thing has been a life saver of labeling cords and what goes to what so I'm not crabbing wrong sharing cords or unplugging things I shouldn't. The process to make is super fast and easy on the go.
Label tape is also easy to change.

Easy to use
I got this to get more organized now that I work from home most of the time. This is nice and compact so it doesn't take up a ton of space. It was really easy to set up, and I love having a full keyboard to use. Super efficient.
