The unit is outstanding!!! As you might expect it has so many slick features that we have not had occasion to use them all. But the labels it produces are exceptional, many font options and the color display is really professional and easy to read.

The price of the printer cannot justify its features. I have used a few high end label printers but none stood the test of time when it comes to reliability like the Borthers.
The PT-D600 is a versatile, PC-connectable label maker well suited for a variety of labeling usages in a business environment. The PT-D600 works with 5 different TZe tape widths - and the convenient, top-loading tape design lets you easily change tape cassette sizes and colors. The P-touch PT-D600 is a compact, PC-connectable label maker with a color backlit graphic display and a large, QWERTY-style keyboard that help make it easy to create professional labels for the office. You can connect the PT-D600 to a Windows or Mac computer with the included USB cable to be used with the free P-touch Editor Label Design software. Used on its own, the PT-D600 features an easy-type keyboard with large keys and an angled design for comfortable typing. Its fast print speeds and automatic tape cutter make it particularly well-suited for larger labeling jobs.

The PT-D600 can be powered by either 6 AA batteries (not included) or the included AC power adapter to give you the ability to make labels at your desk or on the go. Plus the generously-sized color backlit display is bright enough to give you a clear view of your work, even in low-light conditions.
Works with a variety of tapes from the long-lasting laminated TZe Series
TZe tapes are protected by a thin, clear film to withstand water, grease, fading, abrasion, heat and cold, making them ideal for indoor and outdoor applications. TZe labels feature a split back design for hassle-free application. Use one of Brother specialty tapes to create flexible cable and wire identification labels or create labels with acid-free adhesive that are safe for scrapbooking and other photosensitive materials. There's even non-laminated fabric iron-on tape for labeling clothing and more.
