Potential but not there yet

I really enjoy the size, looks, weight and glass. Even though it has 50k + hour battery life, it takes too long to power up for defense use. This needs a timer to shut off and on with movement. The adjustments need a tiny flat head to adjust, this would be a pain out in the field. I often shoot different ammo with different POI The battery compartment is also screwed tight, making it difficult to change out in the field without tools. A cover would also be a plus

I'm likin' it!

I got this optic specifically for my Browning Buck Mark 5.5 Field. Over the years that I've owned this pistol I've have a few different types/styles of red dot optics on it, none of which were cheap, low dollar chicom junk. I really didn't like the looks of the tube style red dots on it, and the reflex style micro red dots had too small of a window for my liking. I finally came across the Bushnell First Strike 2.0 and figured I'd give it a try. It was the 28mm window that initially got my attention. But after receiving it, installing it and zeroing it in, I gotta say I'm really impressed with this optic. Crisp red dot, clear glass, plenty of brightness settings, easy to zero, extended battery life, an so on. And for under $200.00 it's hard to beat. I have zero complaints about the construction and function of the sight. I just wish it came with some type of protective cover.

Nice optic

Quality seems very nice. I like how you can change the size of the dot. But I don't like that it doesn't have an on and off switch. You have to keep turning the dot down until it goes off or remove the battery. Otherwise nice product

Not super happy with my purchase.

The sight is fine but it appears to be used. The adjustment screws are marred and have dirt and oil in them. It's hard to get it in a picture because they are too small. I haven't given a chance for Bushnell to make it right but I honestly don't have the time or energy for that. I'm just going live with it but for the money I spent I expected better.

The Bushnell First Strike 2.0

The Bushnell First Strike 2.0 optic is a great addition to my PCC rifle for competition. It has a bright dot and a well made aluminum housing . The viewing window is much bigger than many of the other MRD's in the market. Just wish it came with a protective lens cover.

One of our most versatile optics - The First Strike 2.0 and its massive objective lens has nearly endless use possibilities.

We have now improved the First Strike 2.0 with brighter daylight bright settings perfect for competition or hunting in bright daylight. We have also given it an all-new battery door that is secured by 2 screws. Next, we improved the already rugged design by strengthening the internal contacts for an increased recoil rating. To improve cosmetics and reduce contrast visible signature, we removed the top white branding, and we streamlined the lens housing with a clean design.

The First Strike 2.0 is right at home on shotguns for turkey hunting, rimfire rifles for Steel Challenge competition, Pistol Caliber Carbines for USPSA or 3Gun, MSRs as a primary or offset optic for hunting or target use, or it can even be mounted directly to custom mounts for competition pistols. It features industry-leading battery life that lasts up to 50,000 hours.

The First Strike 2.0 is a fantastic value that comes with a mount that works on Weaver-Style and Picatinny rails, and mounts both high and low to work on whatever you are mounting it on.
