After sending a faulty pair these are great. The first pair I got one of the "eye cups" wouldn't come all the way out and the diopter adjustment ring was so stuck I couldn't move it. They immediately sent a replacement pair that are perfect so far.

I have never owned any optics of this high of quality, they are great. I wear glasses and I don't have to take my glasses off and on to use them. I can't wait until hunting season, I've been birding and they work great.

With 2020 and Covid restrictions at kids sporting events the parents were required to stay at very long distances away from their children at meets. I picked this pair up due to the reviews and great eye relief and build quality over lesser big box store binocs. I heard parents chatting around me when I pulled these bad boys out commenting that “we should have brought our binoculars too!!” I think this model may be discontinued, but if you have the chance to get a pair of the engage series you won’t be disappointed.

Having owned many pairs of entry level Bushnells in my lifetime, I decided it was time to upgrade to a higher specified pair of 8 x 42 binoculars. After a lot of online research I narrowed my field down to 3 pairs: Bushnell Engage EDX, Vortex Diamondacks, and Nikon Monarch 5s, all of which had very similar specifications. Went to SAIL, a leading outdoors retailer here in Toronto, where I was able to do a side-by-side test. All 3 are extremely well made, lightweight, have great hand-feel and excellent quality glass. After much back-and-forth, I ranked the Bushnell and Vortex binos as basically a tie and the Nikon's a close number 2. Apart from having many years of happy viewing with Bushnell products, the EXO coating sealed the deal. They're a great pair of binoculars with a build quality and features that would have only been found in binos costing thousands of dollars not all that long ago. Combine all of that with a great warranty and the choice is easy. Treat yourself to a pair of these superb binoculars. You'll be happy you did.

Great product. Feels sturdy and compact. One caveat is, the eye adjustment is hard to tune.

I'm somewhat of a gear nerd but this is my first pair of quality glass binoculars. We bought them for all-around use camping, hiking, casual birdwatching and sight seeing. We currently have them with us in Hawaii and the clarity and brightness watching fishermen, boaters, and other watersports is really impressive. High build quality and smooth quick focus that the whole family enjoys. 8x42 is a great all around spec. Unless you have a super-specific need, these are more than enough binoculars than you would ever want

I got these as an upgrade to my smaller set (Steiner Predators), which were an upgrade to an earlier lower cost set. I keep these in the car for travel purposes and they've been great to have along on trips. Clear image, nice color, not too expensive. They suit my needs well.

I chose BEN842 among several other brands for 8x42 in this price range (USD200-300) because primarily of BEN842's superior optical specification. However, I didn't have a chance to compare it with other 8x42 binocular candidates at any physical stores. I decided to buy BEN842 online. As expected, I was really impressed by its large FOV and crystal clear view during daytime. I was wearing glasses while using it, and I didn't notice any problem with that. With my skinny arms, its weight was acceptable for 8x42. I would definitely recommended BEN842.
