I use this mostly for hunting and find it helps find my way back to my truck ,especially after dark. I have found it is important to follow directions about walking in a figure 8 to calibrate it for it to be accurate. So far I have only used it a few times and like it.

No frills, sturdy, and accurate. It could feel a little more solid, but I will have to work hard to break this thing. Dropping it 3 feet onto concrete didn't hurt it. Takes 1-7 minutes to find a satellite, but usually reacquires within 10-60 seconds if turned back on within 5 minutes. Very accurate, remembers way-points during infinite battery changes. Check out the instructions online, it makes finding north easier to do. You have to keep pushing buttons to keep it from turning off.I is nice to be able to check how far from the truck I am (straight line only of course).
