Before you dive into the world of sound sculpting, consider the EQ-200 Graphic Equalizer Pedal, a new generation device from BOSS's 200 series. This pedal is designed to offer advanced sound and versatility in a compact, streamlined size, perfect for saving space on your pedalboard.
The EQ-200 is equipped with intuitive grab-and-go controls and multi-function switches, making operation a breeze. It also features onboard memories, allowing you to store and instantly recall multiple setups. This pedal is not just about convenience, but also about superior sound quality. It boasts premium audio quality with 32-bit AD/DA, 32-bit internal processing, and a 96 kHz sampling rate.
As the most flexible compact EQ ever created for guitar and bass, the EQ-200 features two wide-ranging 10-band EQ channels. It also includes an onboard graphic display that provides a visual representation of the current EQ curve. The selectable signal flow structures allow you to configure the channels for stereo, parallel, or series operation. You can even patch in external pedals for deep pre/post tone shaping.
The EQ-200 is designed to optimize performance for different instruments. The frequency centers of all 10 bands can be set to three different types, making it an ideal choice for electric and acoustic guitars, bass, keyboards, and more.
The EQ-200 also offers a free Version 1.1 software update, expanding the onboard memory capacity for storing and recalling sounds. With this update, you now have access to 128 user setups, which can be recalled directly via MIDI program change.
The EQ-200's refined design, 32-bit/96 kHz engine, and ultra-low noise specs deliver precision tonal control with superior audio quality. Each band offers up to 15 dB of cut or boost, and each channel has a level slider for balancing with the bypass sound or kicking in a solo boost when needed.
The EQ-200's variable signal flow structure offers an exceptional level of power in honing your tone for both rhythm and lead playing. The A and B channels can be linked together or used independently, and you can also patch in an external pedal (or a chain of pedals) for pre-EQ and/or post-EQ processing.
The EQ-200 is user-friendly with a simple interface and visual EQ display. The hands-on sliders provide direct access to 10 EQ bands and master channel level, while the informative display offers a visual overview of the current EQ curve.
The EQ-200 also features 127 user memories plus a real-time panel setting, giving you 128 total setups to choose from. For deeper control, setups can be directly recalled via program change messages from an external MIDI device.
The EQ-200's footswitches control EQ bypass and memory scrolling, but you can reassign them to turn channels on/off, select specific memories, and more. Control is also possible via external footswitches, and these are freely assignable as well. You can connect an expression pedal to control A or B channel levels, or even the overall output. MIDI I/O is also available on mini TRS jacks, allowing you to operate various functions from external MIDI controllers and chain multiple 200 series pedals to select memories on all of them at once.
In conclusion, the EQ-200 Graphic Equalizer Pedal is a versatile, high-quality, and user-friendly device that offers advanced sound and versatility, making it a must-have for any musician.
