The camera does not record the picture collected by the binocular lens. It simply takes a fixed focal length picture in the same direction as the binoculars. So you can document the direction and subject but you don't get a zoomed in picture of your subject

The camera is good for documenting what you see through the binoculars but it does not take a high quality picture or even a picture of the same magnification as the binoculars. And easy to shake the camera while pushing the camera button... that is why they have a special feature of taking 3 pictures in a row with a second delay after touching the button

This Camera / Binocular was a gift to my grandson. He has not reported how it works yet but my research found it holds the largest memory card and was the best price from Adorama and largest image view that I could find.
