Review Summary
The BSA Optics Laser Genetics ND-1 Subzero Laser Designator (Clampack) is a weather-resistant illuminator designed to turn a rifle-dayscope combination into a nighttime targeting system. An included scope mount allows the shooter to attach the ND-1 to any one-inch or 30mm day optic. The mount is equipped with adjustable windage and elevation, enabling the shooter to align the 26mm beam with their rifle zero.
By utilizing innovative circuitry, Subzero illuminators can operate in freezing temperatures without diminished light intensity. With the ND-1 laser designator, night hunters can rely on a consistent light output and up to three hours of continuous operation in subzero conditions.
The ND-1 is equipped with an 18 milliwatt laser that emits a beam visible up to one mile away. As a target designator, the 26mm beam is wide and bright enough to effectively highlight targets at a 100-yard range. Since the human eye is most sensitive to the green spectrum of light, this designator's 532 nanometer wavelength induces minimal eye strain when viewed at night and is also easy to visually acquire in daylight. The combination of Subzero technology, build quality and beam color make the ND-1 a useful tool for night hunters.
