If you are shooting at range, you need a distance, then you need to calculate your firing solution, then you need to make the correction. Being able to get the range and the firing solution at the same time is so much faster and less error prone. I'm amazed every range finder on the market isn't copying this. It works really well though past about 800y you need to make sure the environmental data is super accurate and really should using a kestrel.

I hunt in the west. I saw this ballistic Calc range finder first in the sig kilo and knew I wanted one. When I first bought it in 2020 the bushnell app for iPhone had some glitches but they worked it out. Now it works great. Once you create your bullet and rifle profile in the app, you pair it to the range finder. I create my dope chart in Strelock or ABallistics and bring it into the bushnell app. The range finder keeps the latest data independent of the phone/app. So you don't need your phone nearby as long as the last profile you had up was the correct one. The display Gives you mil or MOA come ups and wind. For hunting it saves time because you don't need to translate your yard reading to your dope chart. It's faster just using the range finder. It's suits my purpose well and I've used it two years now. I target shoot to 1,000 yards and big game to about half that. The rangefinder itself has never let me down.

Very happy with this rangefinder along with the upgrade app. It's excellent for what I use it for whether hunting or setting out steel targets.

My son and I used the Nitro 1800 during a hunt for Eland and Blue Wildebeest about 2 weeks ago in South Africa. It performed well when we set it up and used the applied ballistics and ARC functions on it. I shot the Eland at 312 metres at an angle of 23 degress from a peak and my son shot his Blue Wildebeest at 268 metres. Both shots from our Howa .270 with Vortex Viper scope hit as anticipated when we used the applied ballistics function to determine how much we had to dial elevation on our rifles' scope. We are pleased with the product. Rifle was zeroed at 100m. I also upgraded it to the full Elite version.

The app does not have a Bluetooth connection like on the YouTube videos. Also scopes are wrong in some cases and removals don't match up on the app. Need to fix your app. I will be sending the range finder back as Connor connect with the app.

Rangefinder seems to work great. I don't know how accurate it is, but the Applied Ballistics feature is nice. Bushnell iPhone app is not very intuitive, though.

the Nitro 1800 has been GREAT. Having an accurate rangefinder at a great price that talks to my Kestrel is refreshing.

Simply put, it works. Downloading the manual from Bushnell and then applying that knowledge to this LRF makes it an epic piece of gear. I used mine too range Elk from 50 yards all the way out to 1200 yards during a recent hunt. This device is great!!! *** I am a Bushnell Ambassador ***
