Shopper : Where is the display?JACK S : Good Morning, I am only the purchaser of this item and not the end user. Thank You, JackDANIEL C : You see it when you are looking through the eye piece.ALLEN O : The display is in the viewfinder. If you have it set up correctly the yardage will appear. If you focused on the flag you will see a flag symbol pop up verifying the yardage.BRYAN G : There is a view finder on the back. It's like looking into a camera.LA RETTA B : The range is displayed inside the viewing lens. When you hold it to your eye and press the range finder button the distance to the pin or bunker or location you are trying to range is displayed in your eye's view.
Shopper : how many courses are loaded into product ?ASHOKA P : You don't need courses to be loaded to this. You simply look through the eye piece and aim to either the flag or any other object. Press the button and it simply tells you the distance to the object/flag. This works by directing a (harmless) laser signal at the target and doesn't require any GPS signal, hence works with any target.HARRY S : None. You just target an object (flag, bunker, tree etc.).and it gives the yardage to that object. My wife and I each have one and really like them. Also it uses a 9 volt battery - some of the other range finders use a more expensive type.MARK B : Courses are not loaded into this product. I prefer to check the range myself on every hole. Very useful

I find this product much more useful than GPS based systems. Regardless of where you are it gives to the distance to the pin. It help you pick the right club. When there is no wind to move the flag the pin and the flag are not quite right for the pin seeker feature get a reading. Other than that it is great.

Great price and exceptional service

Have been looking for a rangefinder since the gps units aren't always uptodate with courses. This one fits the budget and works well. Used it on one round last weekend and still getting used to keep my hands steady. If the flag is far away (~200 yds), my hands are wobbly and hard to keep it in focus area but for anything shorter, it works well. Not a big deal since I don't expect my game to be so accurate at longer distances. Adorama shipped the unit as promised and I received it on time. Great service!

Outstanding product at a great price.

I've owned a Bushnell 4x20 Medalist for years, so when it died I started looking for a replacement. Adorama had the best price and ship really fast.

Great performance and value

I researched a lot of rangefinders before I bought, and it didn't hurt that a friend of mine with whom I've played quite a bit of two-man tournament golf owns one of these. For the money, I can't imagine how a rangefinder could be better. I don't have a large enough sample size, but I think this little Bushnell will save me three strokes a round, considering how often I've seemed to misclub recently, perhaps the result of adding strength training to my workout routine. So far, the Bushnell has proven to be accurate, and there's an added value for me: I'm nearsighted but don't wear glasses on the course, so the rangefinder helps bring distant objects into clearer focus. Functionality and the great price at Adorma makes the Bushnell a win-win for me.

Delivery Service Excellent!

This was a gift I purchased for my son's birthday. I have not yet talked to him about how it functions, but what I can say is that the delivery speed (without paying for any additional shipping) was incredibly fast. The Bushnell 4 x 20 Medalist Golfing Laser Rangefinder is an advanced premium laser rangefinder comprised of Digital Technology allowing range readings from 5-1000 yards / 5-914 meters. Measuring 1.7 x 4.5 x 3.8 inches, the 9-ounce Medalist delivers superb and accurate range performance to +/- one yard. The Medalist features PinSeeker technology, SCAN Mode, 4x Magnification and Multi-Coated Optics for enhanced viewing.

The Medalist emits invisible, eye safe, infrared energy pulses. The Medalist's advanced Digital microprocessor and ASIC chip (Application-Specific Integrated Circuit) results in instantaneous and accurate readings every time. Sophisticated digital technology instantaneously calculates distances by measuring the time it takes for each pulse to travel from the rangefinder, to the target and back. The ranging accuracy of the Medalist is plus or minus one yard / meter under most circumstances.

The maximum range of the instrument depends on the reflectivity of the target. The maximum distance for most objects is 500 yards / 457 meters while for highly reflective objects the maximum is 1000 yards / 914 meters. The color, surface finish, size and shape of the target all affect reflectivity and range. The brighter the color, longer is the range. Red is highly reflective, for example and allows longer ranges than the color black, which is the least reflective color.

A shiny finish provides more range than a dull one. A small target is more difficult to range than a larger target. The angle to the target also has an effect. Shooting to a target at a 90 degree angle (where the target surface is perpendicular to the flight path of the emitted energy pulses) provides good range while a steep angle on the other hand, provides limited ranging. In addition, lighting conditions (e.g. the amount of sunlight) will affect the ranging capabilities of the unit. The less light (e.g. overcast skies) the farther the unit's maximum range will be. Conversely, very sunny days will decrease the unit's maximum range.
