Knowing which ballistic group to select will determine your accuracy. Bushnell engineers have worked with the Sierra® Bullets’ ballistic program and grouped many of the most popular calibers and loads into eight ballistic groups. Once you know what caliber and load you are shooting simply look through the chart to determine which one of the eight ballistic groups (A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H) match with your particular load and caliber. For Muzzleloaders, we have worked with PowerBelt® Bullets to incorporate ballistic data into two ballistic groups (I and J). You can cycle through the modes on your Laser Rangefinder a circular fashion by pressing and releasing the mode button. The order of modes is a follows: BOW, RIFLE A, RIFLE B, RIFLE C, RIFLE D, RIFLE E, RIFLE F, RIFLE G, RIFLE H, RIFLE I, RIFLE J, REG, etc. When the bow selection is displayed, the “BOW” icon will flash and when a “RIFLE: selection is displayed, the “RIFLE” icon and ballistic group will be flashing. Great unit!

The product is great - the shipping from Adorama was terrible. Purchase arrived two days later than I was told. Why not UPS direct to me? Delivered to my Post Office, then to me. Not good.

The Bushnell 5 x 24 Scout 1000 with ARC Laser Rangefinder is amazingly compact and simple to use. The Scout 1000 with Angle Range Compensation (ARC) figures distance based on terrain angle to give you accurate "shoot-like" distance. In Rifle mode, it even tells you where to hold. It is accurate from 5 to 1,000 yards. Range your target with the tap of a single button - in a unit small enough to fit in your shirt pocket.

Bushnell 201932 Scout 1000 ARC Laser Rangefinder Features

  • ARC; Angle Range Compensation.
  • Built-in inclinometer
  • Range: 5 - 1,000 yards
  • Bow mode: Provides true horizontal distance from 5 to 99 yards
  • Rifle mode: Select the ballistic group of your firearm (guidelines supplied). When you range your target, an inclinometer displays the angle and provides bullet-drop/holdover in inches (up to 199") from 100 to 800 yards
  • BullsEye mode: Geared for close-range use, this mode acquires the distances of small targets and game without inadvertently measuring back ground target distances. When more than one object is acquired, the closer of the two objects is shown on the LCD display
  • Brush mode: Ignores the foreground, such as brush, boulders and tree branches and provides distances on the LCD display to background objects only
  • Multi-coated optics
  • Weather Resistant
  • Built-in tripod mount
  • Scan: Scan across the course while viewing a continuously updated LCD display of the distance between you and your target
