The BLU-10 Wall Controller is equipped with Ethernet connectivity, allowing for easy integration into your existing network. It can be powered directly or via PoE (Power over Ethernet), providing flexibility in installation. The touch-screen display, complemented by two hardware buttons and a rotary encoder, offers comprehensive control at your fingertips.The display of the BLU-10 can be customized into up to eight sizable positions, each capable of representing page change buttons, preset recalls, or almost any parameter. Enhance your user interface further with custom text, static images, and animated images on these positions.Navigation is a breeze with the BLU-10. Choose between using page change buttons on the touch-screen display to navigate between pages in the same folder or use the lower hardware button to access a hierarchical tree representation of the folders and pages within the BLU-10 implementation.Security is paramount with the BLU-10. Password protection can be applied to individual pages or folders, ensuring that only authorized users can make changes to specific parameters. This feature is particularly useful when BLU-10 controllers are placed in public areas. Establish access rights for different types of users by using multiple passwords to access different sets of system parameters.The BLU-10 also features a 'Sleep' state, which can be programmed to activate after a predetermined delay time. In this state, the screen brightness reduces to a predetermined level, conserving energy. The 'Active' brightness is restored when the BLU-10 'wakes' following detection by the IR proximity sensor.Programming the BLU-10 is straightforward, thanks to the simple drag-and-drop programming interface. Test the operation of the pages using the special simulation mode, which emulates how the controller will work when in use. This allows menu structures to be checked before the system goes live.The BLU-10 connects into a Soundweb London network via its Ethernet port, either directly into the rear of a rackmount device such as the BLU-16 with a Cat 5 crossover cable or with a standard Cat 5 cable into an Ethernet switch. The unit can be powered either using the terminals on the rear, accepting a range of 12-48VDC or with IEEE802.3af Power Over Ethernet (POE).Installation is easy as the BLU-10 mounts in a standard U.S 3-gang wallbox using the screws provided with the unit.
