From the innovative design labs of BSS Audio comes the Soundweb London BLU-160 Networked Signal Processor, an advanced and sophisticated piece of professional audio equipment that stands at the forefront of digital sound processing technology. This high-tech unit is engineered to deliver unparalleled audio signal processing and transmission through a robust digital audio bus, ensuring that your audio system operates with the utmost precision and reliability.
The BLU-160 boasts a flexible architecture that is fully configurable via the HiQnet London Architect software, offering a user-friendly interface with a "drag and drop" configuration method. This intuitive design environment simplifies the creation of complex audio systems, making it accessible for both seasoned professionals and those new to networked audio.
Equipped with a low-latency, fault-tolerant digital audio bus capable of carrying 256 channels, the BLU-160 ensures seamless audio transmission across standard Category 5e cabling for distances up to 100 meters. For extended range requirements, fiber optic media converters can be utilized to bridge devices over an impressive span of more than 40 kilometers, providing exceptional flexibility for large-scale installations.
The unit features four expandable card slots, each ready to accept any of the six available I/O cards to tailor the device to your specific needs. These include the Analog Input Card with software-configurable gain and selectable Phantom Power, the Analog Output Card, the Digital Input and Output Cards supporting AES/EBU and S/PDIF formats, the AEC Input Card for echo cancellation, and the Telephone Hybrid Card for teleconferencing integration. Each card supports four channels, offering a versatile range of connectivity options.
Front panel LED indicators provide immediate visual feedback on Phantom Power, Sync, Signal Presence, and Clipping for each channel, allowing for quick and easy monitoring without the need for a computer. Furthermore, the front panel display presents essential device-specific information such as Device Name, Device Type, Firmware Version, Time, IP Address, and Subnet Mask.
Integration with other systems is seamless, thanks to the 12 Control Inputs and 6 Logic Outputs, making the BLU-160 compatible with a wide array of GPIO devices. The included Soundweb London Interface Kit and comprehensive documentation ensure that integrating the BLU-160 with third-party control systems is a straightforward process.
The Soundweb London BLU-160, along with its counterparts in the Soundweb London family, provides the essential components for crafting a custom-tailored audio system solution that meets the exacting demands of live sound reinforcement, recording studios, and post-production facilities. With its innovative features and professional-grade performance, the BLU-160 is the ideal choice for audio professionals seeking a reliable, high-quality networked signal processor.
