The EC-4BV Ethernet Controller is available in a sleek black or crisp white finish, and comes in either a single-gang US decora or single-gang EU form factor, ensuring a perfect fit for your space. It features a single Ethernet port for hassle-free configuration, control, monitoring, and power via Power over Ethernet (PoE).

Configuring the EC-4BV is a breeze with the intuitive drag-and-drop operations within the HiQnet Audio Architect software application. The controller is equipped with one programmable push/rotary encoder, one encoder ring, four programmable buttons, and a 64 x 128 pixel LCD screen. All of these components are multicolor backlit, capable of displaying eight different colors with adjustable intensity for a personalized touch.

The push/rotary encoder offers continuous parameter control, such as volume adjustment, and binary parameter control, like mute function or preset recall. The encoder ring can display a bouncing audio meter and temporarily show volume or binary parameter settings. The four buttons can be used for binary parameter control, preset recall, or source selection, while the LCD screen can display custom text and graphics.

The EC-4BV Ethernet Controller also features a sleep function, turning off all LEDs after a certain period of inactivity to avoid distraction in dimly lit environments. It can be remotely locked and unlocked via other control systems, and locally unlocked via a four-digit PIN entry on the buttons.

This device supports multiple modes of operation, allowing the push/rotary encoder and encoder ring to be dynamically reassigned to different parameters based on selected buttons. It also offers simple and affordable cabling, as it is powered via PoE, passing power and control over a single connected Cat 5e cable.
