Quick-Release Convenience
With our LeftField Mini 15mm LWS Baseplate, you've got end-to-end quick-release for your camera. On the Baseplate itself, our patented Open UP mechanism allows you to effortlessly lift off from any ARRI standard dovetail. With the stacked Riser, Receiver and Universal Dovetail on top, you can also quickly remove the camera from the baseplate for quick settings tweaks or packing up after wrap.

Dovetail Design
But why would you want a more complicated Baseplate? To make things simpler in the long run, we've made it so that you can quickly release the camera from the baseplate. For bigger rigs, this means packing down is quicker and easier, and smaller rigs can hop seamlessly onto gimbals, tripods or shoulder rigs. Even when your call sheet is cutting it close or the director decides to go handheld on the oner, your RED rig will be ready.

Get a Grip
Whether you're wanting to steadily pan when on a tripod or are going handheld at a low-angle, the NATO Top Handle gives you a sturdy yet soft point to hold you KOMODO-X. Paired with the set of Master Handle Extensions, you can create a curved and comfortable grip for easy carrying. And with the added Brace, you won't have to worry about wobble.

Note: This Expert Kit is not compatible with the DSMC RED Touch 7.0" due to the added height of the RED Monitor Interface (RMI). RED Touch users will need to use the alternative Expert Kit that features a different Handle Brace.

Breathing Room
Though the Left and Right Side Plates may look overly-bulky at first, look a little closer. The double-sided screw threads with anti-twist locating pins mean you can rig accessories to the inside or outside - meaning you can hide messy cables from the BTS Photographer. For cleaner rigs, the Side Plates offer smoother airflow, so your rig doesn't run hot as you run-and-gun. And with the extra Cheese Plate, you won't run out of rigging real-estate.

Deep Customization
In terms of what you can actually mount to your RED rig, you are spoiled for choice. Along with the standard suite of 1/4" and 3/8" screw threads with anti-twist points, the RED KOMODO-X Kit also provides a range of other options for rigging. Camera straps can be slipped off and on via QD sockets on top, along with an integrated NATO rail - which itself mounts the Top Handle and a dedicated Bar Bracket. With forward and side-facing 15mm rods up top, the Top Bar Bracket and Rod Mount offers the ideal point to set up EVFs, lens motors and much more.

Adapter-Friendly
A huge draw of the RED ecosystem is not being tied into one lens mount - especially now that Nikon's Z-Mount has joined the family. If you want to try out new primes without damaging your camera's lens mount, the Side Plates and Top Rail feature dedicated mounts for different Lens Adapter Supports - including our own range and RED's native Adapters.

Compatibility
The Expert Kit for RED KOMODO-X is designed to work with the RED KOMODO-X: with purpose-built Side Plates and Riser system designed to set the camera to the 15mm LWS standard height. The Universal Dovetail can be used with any camera, and is compatible with both Manfrotto tripods and DJI gimbals.

The Expert Kit is not compatible with the DSMC RED Touch 7.0" and RED Monitor Interface (RMI). Users requiring compatibility can either purchase the alternative Expert Kit (RMI) or just the Handle Extension Brace.

- Short Create Top Handle (NATO) -
The Short Create Top Handle provides all the functionality of a standard top handle for more compact rigs. Mounting via a side-facing NATO clamp, the Top Handle offers versatile positioning and customization options with a range of 1/4", 3/8" and MAP M4 screw threads. Low-profile for use on smaller rigs, the Top Handle has a rubber grip for a more comfortable hold.

- Master Handle 70mm and 90mm Extension -
Adjust your handle length with our Master Handle Extensions. This extension measures 70mm and 90mm in length and can be paired with other handles and extensions featuring a 3/8" thread.

- Master Handle 90 degree Extension -
Curve the top handle towards the back of your camera using the 90-degree extension. This component creates a 90-degree bend and is compatible with additional handles and extensions equipped with a 3/8" thread.

- Top Bar Bracket NATO Mount -
Want to create a quick-release monitor setup? Our Top Bar Bracket NATO Mount gives you the first piece. Mounting to any standard NATO rail, this small widget gives you a mounting point for top 15mm rods, independent of any top handle. Ideal for complicated rigs or non-standard handle setups, the Top Bar Bracket NATO Mount is a small yet useful part of any rig.

- Top Bar Bracket and 15mm Rod Mount -
The Top Bar Bracket & 15mm Rod Mount adds two forward-facing 15mm LW rod brackets and one side-facing rod mount to the top of your camera setup. With each rod being independently adjusted via its own clamp, the Top Bar Bracket is a convenient mount for lens motors, EVFs and more. Mounting to our Short Create Top Handle (NATO), the Top Bar Bracket is versatile and convenient.

- Rear Cheeseplate -
Build out the ultimate RED rig: our RED KOMODO-X Rear Cheese Plate gives you further freedom to customize your camera. Use a selection of 1/4" and 3/8" anti-twist screw threads, as well as MAP M4 points; and manage any cables with dedicated cutout slots. Lightweight and durable, the Rear Cheese Plate helps you balance your build.
