While the Universal Extended DJI Ronin-2 Dovetail Plate is a robust and versatile tool for photographers and videographers, its unique features set it apart in the market. This high-quality, durable plate is designed to securely mount your camera, allowing for a quick and seamless transition between the LeftField 15mm LWS Baseplate and the DJI Ronin 2, eliminating the need to change plates. The plate's design includes three camera mounting screws (two 3/8-16" & a 1/4-20"), ensuring a secure fit with no twisting or movement. This feature, coupled with the plate's extra width, provides superior stability and eliminates flex, making it an ideal choice for both professional and amateur photographers. The dovetail plate is not just sturdy and reliable, but also versatile. It's designed to accommodate a variety of lens adapters using the included 3/8" or 1/4" screws. The front channel and supplied screws can secure lens adapters, providing flexibility depending on the camera height. However, it's important to note that not all lens feet will be compatible or require spacers.One of the standout features of this dovetail plate is its compatibility with the DJI Ronin 2. This allows the plate to be loaded directly onto the gimbal without the need to change camera plates. Laser-etched markers along the length of the dovetail allow ACs to mark down balanced positions on the gimbal, enhancing the ease of use.When paired with the LeftField DJI Ronin 2 quick release risers, the camera is set at the correct height for 15mm LWS support & accessories. This dovetail plate is a testament to the blend of functionality, durability, and versatility, making it an essential tool for any photography or videography project.

We got this because we wanted to quickly move our Komodo between rails setup and gimbal. We also needed the extended baseplate so we could secure the Metabones RF lens adapter. 

This baseplate does this specific job well, but I still find the price a bit ambitious for what it is.
