With an array of mounting possibilities including standard 1/4" and 3/8" screw threads as well as MAP M4, QD sockets and 15mm support rods; the Base Kit offers freedom and functionality in a lightweight package.

In-Depth Customization
The Base Kit for Sony VENICE Extension System Mini offers a range of accessory mounting options, giving you the freedom to set up your camera extension however you need. The Top, Rear and Side Plates feature an array of 1/4", 3/8" and MAP M4 sockets; with locating pins to ensure a secure hold for larger accessories. Combine this with the Sliding Top Handle, which offers additional support via QD sockets and a Cold Shoe mount.

Handle with Ease
The Sliding Top Handle included in the Base Kit is ideal for both carrying the VENICE Extension and for shooting handheld footage. Mounted to the Top Plate via two 1/4"-20 screws, the handle itself can slide forwards and backwards for optimal balance. Combine it with our Handle Extensions to create a custom Top Handle for any shooting scenario.

15mm Rod Support
The Top Bar Bracket adds even more functionality to your VENICE Extension System Mini, with two 15mm rod brackets. Attaching to the base of the Top Handle, the Bar Bracket is useful for mounting EVFs, lens motors and other accessories; and can be flipped to place the rods higher or lower above your lenses.

Compact and Convenient
Despite the vast range of customization that the Base Kit offers, your setup remains slim and streamlined. Each of the plates adds just over a centimeter of thickness to the camera body, and adds minimal weight thanks to their anodized aluminum build. Core VENICE components, such as the drop-in ND filter slots and side vents, are kept clear for smooth operation.

Don't mistake their lightness for weakness, however: our aluminum is aerospace-grade for long-lasting performance. All components are resistant to corrosion and to withstand the usual wear-and-tear - they'll be just as sturdy on the twentieth take as the first.

- Top Plate -
The Top Plate for Sony VENICE Extension System Mini is a low-profile attachment for the VENICE extension block. Attaching to the top of the camera without blocking the drop-in ND filter slot; the Top Plate provides 3/8" and 1/4" anti-twist points as well as MAP M4 threads. The Top Plate installs cleanly with the help of a 4mm Hex Key.

Without blocking the drop-in ND filter slot or air vents, our top Plate adds a 3/8" and four 1/4" anti-twist mounting points, along with two MAP M4 points. With space for ventilation, the Left Side Plate mounts discreetly and easily to the compact VENICE Extension System Mini.

Featuring a range of MAP M4, 1/4" and 3/8" screw threads; the Left Side Plate mounts cleanly to the camera extension block without blocking the camera's vents. The handlebar can slide forwards and backwards for optimal balance and features 1/4" and 3/8" threads, as well as a cold shoe mount and QD sockets for extensive customization options.
