The Front Top Plate slots on top of the VENICE Mini like a crown, but is more than just a cosmetic: adding mounting points for a range of third-party gear such as CineTape or Preston rangefinders - as well as classic components such as handles or microphones - the Front Top Plate is a versatile and valuable addition to your VENICE rig. Compatible with both PL Mount and E-Mount Sony setups, the Front Top Plate helps ensure that your shoot goes off without a hitch.

When working with tight shots or complex blocking, racking focus becomes even more of a challenge. Give your camera team a break: the Front Top Plate is compatible with rangefinders such as the CineTape Measure, Preston Light Ranger and Focusbug Cine RT systems. This means you can precisely plot out the distance from the subject to your sensor - no guesswork required.

Free Rigging
Whether you're using the rarest prime lenses on the market or a standard G Master, the Front Top Plate won't get in the way. Because the Extension mounts to our left and right Side Plates, the lens mount isn't blocked - allowing you to quickly attach the PL lens mount or the built-in Sony E-Mount option. Once your lens is mounted and its time to tweak exposure, you've still got full access to the drop-in ND filter slot.

Clean Customization
For more standard accessory mounting, the Front Top Plate is more than accommodating. It sits flush with our main Top Plate for level rigging, and features additional MAP M4, 1/4" and 3/8" mounts. The screw threads come with standard ARRI anti-twist locating pins - and are perfectly aligned for aligning accessories dead-center.

The Front Top Plate for Sony VENICE Extension System Mini is designed to work with the VENICE Extension Mini alone. The Extension is designed to match the compact footprint of the VENICE Mini without blocking the ND filter slot or lens mount. The Front Top Plate requires the Left Side Plate and Right Side Plate in order to mount.
